The person will take on the
responsibility for ensuring the budget is produced in a timely manner and
controlled throughout the year with required analysis/liaison required with the
other teams and timely reporting to the donors as per the requirement. He/she
will collaborate and work alongside our existing employees in completing the
assigned tasks.
Primary
responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and managing annual budgets
with adequate controls, effective monitoring and reporting
- Effectively manage donor fund
utilisation including providing real-time visibility for program teams and
donors, preparing fund utilisation reports, and required liason with program
teams
- Design effective
budget models for various programs and the entire company
- Analyze financial
information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all
operations are within budget
- Present annual
budgets to senior managers
- Forecast future
budget needs based on conversations with program heads and previous trends
- Identify variances
between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting
period
- Review the company’s
budget for compliance with legal and FCRA regulations
- Ensure department
managers meet budget submission deadlines
- Design and implement
effective budgeting policies and procedures
- Cashflow management
- Support in donor
conversations/donor audit as required
Education
Qualification / Experience:
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Professional qualification (CA / CMA) required
- Prior experience with trust / society
accounting would be an advantage
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- Good Interpersonal and communication
skills
- Good working knowledge in MS office
packages including Excel
- Resourceful, responsible, and
self-starting
- Ability to manage data efficiently.
