As a Manager of Security Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adherence to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of security engineers on daily tasks and activities and sets overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Leads team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to improve security engineering delivery speed and quality (e.g., accelerating analysis and documentation), with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements and business requirements
- Establishes reuse-first practices for AI-assisted workflows used in delivery routines, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to security and resiliency expectations.
- Manages team execution and
- Support hiring and team growth: recruit, interview, onboard, and build a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture.
- Establish secure-by-design engineering practices (threat modeling, secure coding standards, dependency hygiene, security testing) integrated into the SDLC/CI/CD.
- Manage delivery execution for the team: plan roadmaps, prioritize/manage backlogs, run agile ceremonies, and ensure predictable delivery against timelines and quality.
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts, software engineering or related fields and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience running teams of engineers that deliver security solutions operations and experience building security engineering products and solutions
- Experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment for security engineering workflows, including validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
