Manager, SaaS Software Sourcing & Procurement
Keep innovation moving and your career advancing as the Manager of SaaS/AI Application Sourcing & Procurement at GDIT. Your leadership will drive strategic SaaS software negotiations, ensure regulatory compliance, and empower your team to deliver cost savings and process excellence across the SaaS portfolio.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As the Manager of the SaaS Sourcing & Procurement team, you will lead a high-performing group of sourcing specialists focused on end-to-end SaaS lifecycle management—from market research and RFPs through negotiation, ordering, renewals, and supplier performance. You will partner closely with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Legal, Security/Compliance, and program teams to secure the right solutions on the right terms for GDIT’s internal operations and customer missions.
You will set clear priorities, standardize execution, and raise the bar on negotiation rigor and FAR-compliant procurement discipline. Your work will enable the SaaS team to make informed decisions, accelerate high-impact initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with critical SaaS providers while managing risk, cost, and contractual obligations.
In this role you will:
Lead and develop the SaaS/AI application sourcing team— coaching day-to-day execution, establishing standards for vendor selection, negotiations, and RFPs, and ensuring implementation of category strategy and goal completion.
Own complex SaaS negotiations and agreement reviews (EULAs/SLAs/DPAs/Order Forms/Master Agreements), with emphasis on pricing, usage/true-up mechanics, audit rights, data security/privacy, and termination/renewal clauses.
Ensure all sourcing execution adheres to GDIT’s internal compliance standards and government contracting requirements, including FAR and other applicable regulations.
Run disciplined sourcing processes: market research, competitive benchmarking, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and commercial risk assessments; drive outcomes through negotiation plans.
Manage recurring operational responsibilities (pipeline, renewals calendar, dashboards, metrics, ad hoc reporting), ensuring accuracy, insight, and timely delivery.
Standardize SaaS procurement processes and artifacts (playbooks, templates, checklists); identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities and lead implementation.
Support executive-level engagements with strategic suppliers; prepare leadership-ready briefings and recommendations that distill complex commercial and compliance topics into clear decisions.
Champion the growth, training, and development of the SaaS sourcing team by ensuring each team member is fully supported, empowered, and positioned for success. Serve as their primary escalation point and ensure challenges are resolved quickly and effectively.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your analytical strength, operational discipline, and collaborative problem‑solving style to GDIT. The Manager of the SaaS Software Sourcing and Procurement Team must have:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree; 4+ years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience: 5+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing with a focus on software; proven experience leading sourcing projects or teams. SaaS procurement experience is a plus.
• Government procurement: Required hands-on experience in FAR-compliant environments and government contracting; comfortable with federal rules, clauses, and flowdowns.
• Negotiations: Experience negotiating terms/conditions for software, including pricing constructs, usage/true-up, audit/verification, DPAs/security, and renewal/termination mechanics.
• Strategic RFP/Sourcing experience and vendor management
• Communication & leadership: Excellent written/oral communication across levels; demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, coach team members, and drive outcomes through performance management and escalations.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred
• Location: remote
• US Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work performed
