Robotics North America Sales Manager - DENSO Robotics
Position Summary

As part of our continued growth strategy across North America, we are seeking a highly motivated and strategic North America Sales Manager to lead the next phase of market expansion for DENSO Robotics.
This leadership role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team across North America. The successful candidate will work closely with DENSO affiliates, distributors, system integrators, machine builders, and end users to identify new opportunities, expand key accounts, and accelerate adoption of DENSO's industrial and collaborative robotic solutions.
The North America Sales Manager will play a critical role in defining and executing the sales strategy, identifying emerging market opportunities, and positioning DENSO Robotics as the preferred automation partner across targeted industries including Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Electronics, Semiconductor, Logistics, Consumer Products, Packaging, Machine tending, and Industrial Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Market Growth
- Develop and execute the North American sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities across direct accounts, distributors, machine builders, system integrators, and DENSO affiliates.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, applications, and vertical industries to expand DENSO Robotics' market presence.
- Drive strategic account development and executive-level customer engagement with key customers and partners.
- Lead contract negotiations and major commercial initiatives to secure long-term customer relationships.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed sales team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Establish clear objectives, performance metrics, and professional development plans for all sales team members.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent to support long-term business growth.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting customer focus, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Channel & Affiliate Development
- Strengthen relationships with DENSO global affiliates to create alignment on growth strategies, new product introductions, and customer opportunities.
- Expand and optimize distribution, system integrator, and machine builder networks throughout North America.
- Develop strategic channel initiatives to increase market coverage, partner engagement, and solution-based selling capabilities.
Strategic Planning & Business Leadership
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.
- Develop long-range business plans, growth initiatives, and sales forecasts to support the North American Robotics business.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Service, and Global DENSO organizations to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Provide regular business reviews, market intelligence, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Customer & Industry Engagement
- Represent DENSO Robotics at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and strategic partner meetings.
- Stay current with advancements in robotics, automation, AI, machine vision, collaborative robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Serve as a voice of the customer and market advocate within the organization.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience within Robotics, Industrial Automation, Factory Automation, Motion Control, Machine Vision, Industrial Software, or related technologies.
- Demonstrated success leading regional or national sales organizations with responsibility for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation sales channels, including distributors, system integrators, machine builders, OEMs, and end-user accounts.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute against aggressive growth objectives.
- Experience building executive-level customer relationships and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced business degree.
- Experience with collaborative robots (Cobots), industrial robots, machine vision, or AI-enabled automation technologies.
- Experience working with global organizations and cross-cultural teams.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce), pipeline management, and data-driven sales processes.
