This role is both strategic and highly operational — while you will have a direct report, success will come from rolling up your sleeves and working directly on deliverables. You will support the Controller and CFO, and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and FP&A to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in all revenue processes.
Job Duties
- Own the preparation, review, and issuance of client invoices, ensuring timeliness and alignment with contract terms.

- Collaborate with external customers and internal Operations teams to gather and validate patient census data, the core metric used in client billing.
- Calculate sales representative commissions accurately in accordance with the commission plan, and record related commission expenses in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring proper amortization and alignment with revenue recognition principles.
- Prepare & review revenue recognition schedules, reconcile deferred revenue accounts, and ensure compliance with ASC 606 guidelines.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and systems.
- Work closely with Sales, Client Experience, FP&A, and other teams to resolve discrepancies, support forecasting, and provide insights into revenue trends.
- Assist in the month-end close process related to revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Assist in other ad-hoc Accounting and Finance duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with strong academic credentials.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting, as well as experience in revenue accounting or billing operations.
- Experience in SaaS, subscription-based, or healthcare technology companies.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition principles, including deferred revenue and contract cost amortization.
- Hands-on experience with partner revenue share calculations, client billing and commission processing.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced-level facility in Excel
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, “roll up your sleeves” to execute deliverables, prioritize multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation (active or inactive).
- Familiarity with usage-based billing metrics.
- Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems (NetSuite, Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Experience preparing and reviewing commission expense amortization schedules in compliance with ASC 606.
