Job Details:

Reporting to AVP Credit Operations, the Manager, Reporting & Strategic Initiatives (TDAF) is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading Commercial data strategy, reporting excellence, and policy enablement across the TDAF Commercial platform.

This role serves as the business authority for reporting, analytics, and policy integration, acting as a central point of coordination across TDAF Commercial, Journey, FMB, Business Banking Policy, Risk, Technology, and Governance teams.

The position combines deep technical data expertise, enterprise influence, and storytelling capability, ensuring that complex and often fragmented data is transformed into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. The role also ensures that policy frameworks evolve in alignment with business growth, operational realities, and regulatory expectations.

Operating in a highly cross-functional environment, this role requires strong partnership, disciplined execution, and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver scalable solutions, strengthen governance, and enable data-driven outcomes across TDAF Commercial.

Key accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following: 

REPORTING & DATA STRATEGY

  • Establish and lead a scalable, enterprise-grade Commercial data and reporting strategy, positioning TDAF Commercial with a future-ready data ecosystem

  • Design and evolve a centralized data architecture and reporting framework, integrating internal TD systems (e.g., BB Hub, LON) and third-party platforms

  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and governance controls are robust across all data sources, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies

  • Develop and implement advanced reporting and analytics solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, and automated reporting outputs

  • Translate complex, fragmented, or unclear data into clear, meaningful insights that drive business decisions and strategic direction

  • Establish and track key performance metrics, including throughput, turnaround times, accuracy, and portfolio performance, to support business growth

  • Act as the central data authority (“reporting lead”) for TDAF Commercial, setting standards for consistency, accuracy, and interpretation across the business

REPORTING GOVERNANCE, CONTINUITY, AND CAPABILITY BUILD

  • Build full reporting continuity through structured documentation, including detailed job aids covering data sources, logic, cadence, and governance requirements

  • Lead training, knowledge transfer, and onboarding support to ensure seamless transition and business continuity

  • Ensure reporting outputs meet enterprise governance standards, audit requirements, and data quality expectations

  • Establish sustainable processes to ensure reporting reliability independent of individuals

POLICY LEADERSHIP & ENTERPRISE ALIGNMENT

  • Champion TDAF Commercial requirements in policy review cycles, renewal discussions, and transformation initiatives

  • Ensure policy evolution aligns with business growth objectives, operational feasibility, and risk considerations

  • Lead and influence enterprise policy discussions by providing data-driven insights, expert recommendations, and cross-portfolio perspectives

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with FMB, Business Banking Policy, and Credit Risk (CCRM) partners

  • Act as the business SME and trusted advisor on Commercial policy matters across internal and enterprise forums

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP

  • Build deep and trusted relationships across TDAF Commercial, FMB/BB Policy, Risk, Technology, and Governance teams

  • Act as the central coordination point ensuring alignment, transparency, and consistency across initiatives

  • Foster a collaborative, client-focused mindset, breaking down silos and driving integrated outcomes

  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-driven storytelling and actionable insights

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced expertise in data analytics, modelling, and multi-system reporting, with ability to synthesize complex and fragmented datasets into actionable insights

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, lineage, and reconciliation, ensuring robust data integrity across internal platforms (e.g., BB Hub, LON) and enterprise data environments (e.g., SALCA)

  • Proficiency in data and BI tools, including SQL, Access/relational databases, Tableau /Power BI/Alteryx, Python and enterprise reporting tools

  • Proven ability to design scalable reporting solutions and centralized data frameworks, leveraging automation and modern analytics platforms

  • Exceptional data storytelling, decks and executive communication skills, translating ambiguous or incomplete data into clear, compelling insights and senior-level presentations
