A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of Group financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting.
  • Review intercompany balances, eliminations, and reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare Group-level management and statutory reporting packs.

Statutory & Bursa Reporting

  • Coordinate reporting deliverables to the Bursa-listed parent company in accordance with reporting timelines and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), applicable accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support preparation of annual reports, financial statements, and Board/Audit Committee papers.
  • Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the Group.

Audit & Compliance

  • Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities across entities.
  • Ensure all audit schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations are properly maintained.
  • Drive resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Strengthen internal controls and reporting governance frameworks.

Process Improvement & Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with Finance Shared Services and business units to improve reporting processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
  • Drive standardisation and automation of reporting templates and schedules.
  • Support implementation or enhancement of ERP and reporting systems.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and management insights to improve decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support tax and regulatory reporting requirements where applicable.
  • Review accounting treatments for complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Mentor and guide finance team members on reporting and compliance matters.
  • Participate in finance transformation and regional integration initiatives.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting from a Group reporting perspective.
  • Support due diligence and financial integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring exercises.

Requirements
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
      • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
      • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and audit.
      • Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
      • Experience dealing with Bursa-listed reporting requirements is advantageous.
      • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
      • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools is an advantage.

Skills Required
