Manager, Projects

A Project Manager for Themed Entertainment and Experiences is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences. As a Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Director, Project Management | Land Production, and you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of themed entertainment projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative designers, engineers, fabricators, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
 

• Role & Responsibilities:
• Lead the project team throughout the entire project life cycle
• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements
• Oversee the on-site and off-site implementation of assigned projects
• Manage project budgets, review funds allocation for external resources, and coordinate budget modifications as needed
• Provide initial cost ranges for preliminary design components
• Collaborate with Director in developing and maintaining the project P&L
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external clients, ensuring effective communication and understanding of their vision and objectives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including talent and recruitment, designers, technical directors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project integration
• Identify potential risks and challenges in project delivery and implement proactive strategies for risk mitigation
• Locate key suppliers, negotiating the company’s purchasing agreements, and making sure their materials and products meet the company’s specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree – Field of Study – Project Management, Construction, or similar experience in themed entertainment or experience field preferred
• A valid driver’s license and Passport are required.

Experience:

• Previous experience in producing and operating an experience, show or themed attraction
• Preferred experience in holiday or scare maze/haunt installations
• Extensive knowledge on technical installations in themed entertainment
• Extensive knowledge of the attraction and themed entertainment industry
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in themed entertainment or a similar industry
• Proven experience in sourcing and procurement for highly complex themed entertainment projects
• You have experience working collaboratively across organisations; strong leadership and interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and fostering effective working relationships
• You have strong communication skills, attention to detail and enjoy working in an innovative environment.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timeline effectively
• Proven track record in all project delivery phases from concept to implementation
• Problem solver who is comfortable in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment
• Self-motivated and service-oriented communicator with substantial experience in over-the-phone negotiations and vendor affairs. Attentive to details in all professional matters and highly skilled in telecommunications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site as required
