To achieve these efforts, WindWright seeks a Manager, Programs with 8+ years of experience managing aerospace programs and building relationships with government customers. This role will manage customer programs in support of the WindWright portfolio and will have authority on program decisions, own the customer relationship, cost, and schedule of customer programs. Candidates must have extensive experience executing aerospace programs, creating successful and lasting customer relationships, managing government contracts, and working on aerospace projects which include concept exploration, design & development, build, commissioning, and operations of facilities.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead customer Program Manager
  • Responsible for managing customer relationships
  • Provides governance of cost, schedule, and technical execution of customer programs
  • Develop and implement program management metrics
  • Leads and provides support for customer engagements
  • Evaluate risks and mitigation plans to determine adequacy and effectiveness
  • Develop budget and schedules for managing customer programs
  • Interface with high-level internal and external leadership including direct communication with domestic and international customers
  • Work closely with our customer interface to ensure routine and appropriate communications and timely delivery of contract deliverables
  • Implement program management tools, as needed, to facilitate program execution
  • Contribute to developing statements of work, establishing program review gates, setting milestones with applicable entry and exit criteria, and evaluating subcontractor capabilities
  • Work with the procurement team to ensure subcontractors are delivering products on deadline and within budget
  • Partners with business development and advanced programs to pursue new business, contract growth and development of strategy
  • This individual will be focused on technical advances, product roadmap alignment, and modernization efforts to support the team’s strategic objectives and our customer’s missions
  • This leader will be responsible for customer engagement, program execution, and pipeline alignment across development, production, and sustainment activities
  • Ability to interface and work well with multiple functional areas (Engineering, Contracts, Business Management, Program Office, and external Customers)
  • Travel, as needed, to support the company and program
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments

Required:

  • 8+ Years Previous Project/Program Management Experience
  • Familiarity with Program Management tools & framework
  • Creating, leading, and supporting proposal development efforts (Basis of Estimates, Request of Materials, etc.)
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to customers, internal stakeholders, and/or leadership
  • Ability to train and guide other upcoming Program Managers
  • Previous experience managing cost, schedule, execution of project/program and Earned Value Management System
  • Supporting technical evaluation of proposals
  • Experience with technical aerospace leadership, including working with subcontractors and government customers
  • Experience with risk management tools and tracking techniques
  • Facilitation skills and ability to communicate technical challenges and guidance to varied audiences to gain support or resolve concerns
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to implement sound critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals
  • Existing security clearance or ability to obtain
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience with government agencies (customers and regulatory)
  • Experience with ground test facilities
  • Leading or supporting contract negotiations
  • Facility integration experience
  • Capture Management experience
  • Experience with classified programs and working in a classified environment

Required computer skills:

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • MS Project
  • Project management tools

Education/experience/certifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Science (B.S.) or higher in a Business Management/Business Administration and/or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution and 8-plus years of relevant experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Travel estimated to be approximately <10%
