Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) supports some of Australia’s largest corporate, government and institutional clients with market-leading transaction banking, lending, capital markets and risk management solutions.
Within IB&M, Finance provides the financial control, performance analysis and strategic insight that enables informed decision-making across the business. The Performance Management team is responsible for management reporting, forecasting, balance sheet reporting and executive performance insights that support IB&M and Group leadership.

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join our high-performing Performance Management team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance Management, you'll deliver critical financial reporting, performance analysis and decision support to senior leaders across IB&M and Group Finance. You'll work at the centre of the business, providing insights that shape strategic decisions, support financial performance outcomes and enhance executive reporting.
This is a highly visible role offering regular exposure to senior stakeholders, leadership forums and key business performance discussions.
Your impact
You will:
- Deliver executive performance reporting and financial insights for senior stakeholders across IB&M and Group Finance.
- Lead the preparation of CEO briefing packs, leadership reporting and performance commentary.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes.
- Analyse business performance, profitability and balance sheet outcomes, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Partner with stakeholders across Product Control, Business Partnering, Decision Support and the broader IB&M business.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring reporting accuracy, integrity and governance.
- Drive reporting automation, process improvement and efficiency initiatives using data and analytical tools.
- Contribute to strategic projects and deliver insights that influence business and financial outcomes.
We're interested in hearing from people who have
- Proven experience in performance management, management reporting, commercial finance or financial analysis within a large, complex organisation.
- Experience preparing executive, Board-level or senior leadership reporting packs and performance commentary.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting platforms, with exposure to tools such as Tableau, SQL or similar analytical solutions.
- The ability to synthesise complex financial information and communicate clear, concise recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to influence and build trusted relationships across Finance and business teams.
- Sound understanding of financial control, forecasting, profitability analysis and business performance reporting.
- Experience within banking, institutional banking or financial services will be highly regarded.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, coupled with CA, CPA or equivalent professional accreditation.
