About the Department
You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees.
FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. The Position
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, develop & deliver P&O solutions with highest possible impact on site strategy & operations. Lead Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and serve as an expert resource to implement local P&O related activities based on relevant global guidance/standards and in accordance with the NNWay, as well as federal & local labor laws. Lead & drive all P&O related activities including employee relations, staffing life cycle, annual performance review & compensation merit cycle, employee development, on-boarding, communications and training initiatives & completion status. Collaborate with the Global P&O COE, NA Rewards Operations, PS US P&O team. Lead, guide, facilitate & support delivery of high quality, on time HR processes, to include individual, team and organizational development and effectiveness (e.g. structure, systems/processes, leadership development, etc.). Engage in and take ownership of strategic P&O initiatives across NNPILP in alignment with global guidance & standards.
Relationships
The incumbent reports directly to the Head of People & Organization (P&O) with a matrixed reporting relations ship to the head of the assigned site. Interacts with all levels of the business. Partners heavily with assigned business unit management, Centers of Excellence and other HR Business Partners External relationships include vendors and HR organizations and associations/organizations.
Essential Functions

  • Set human resources strategy to drive site P&O success, including alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Serve as the strategic and tactical site business partner as a member of the senior leadership team to set and achieve the P&O strategy in alignment with the business objectives, to include providing expert advice & counsel to site management for P&O processes & people impact of site strategy
  • Partner with Senior management to model, shape and assess an organizational culture that supports the achievement of business objectives
  • Partner with leadership to identify & develop organization and related capabilities through the Organizational Development Plan (ODP)
  • Act as an employee and company advocate and protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with the company's human resources policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations
  • Oversee programs, policies, & practices to continuously improve the employee life cycle process through alignment with global guidance/standards, NNPILP sites and partnership with NA Talent & Rewards Operations: attraction, onboarding, development, performance, rewards & exit
  • Communicate key processes and handle key communications across all client areas (e.g. merit increase, performance management, mid-year review, onboarding processes, etc.) to keep clients informed
  • Drive internal & external communications aligned with the global guidance/standards PS US P&O
  • Serve as the P&O site spokesperson & representative to external groups including public sector (with review by local & global communications & public affairs guidance as required), volunteerism & other social responsibility calls to action, including alignment with NNPILP sites for consistency
  • Establish, drive, & align master plan for P&O through discussion with site and NNPILP P&O leadership
  • Plan & execute on-boarding plan aligned with recruitment activities
  • Demonstrate NNWay (modeling & teaching the values), training, promoting diversity, training needs assessment, new employee orientation segments, meeting planning & co-facilitation
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties, as assigned


Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from an accredited university required
  • May consider an associate's degree in human resources or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant HR generalist/project management experience required, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • May consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant HR generalist/project management experience required, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Master's degree preferred
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant HR generalist/project management experience required, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct supervisory experience required
  • Equivalent combination of people leadership/management and internal NN human resources project management experience may be substituted for minimum supervisory experience requirements
  • Outstanding organization & planning skills for P&O leadership & development of meaningful objectives & action plans to support stakeholders required
  • Previous experience ramping-up organizations a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law(s), employee policies & procedures best practices required
  • Knowledge of and experience with HR IT System required
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) required
  • Strategic and business analytical skills required
  • Project management skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing applications in the workplace preferred
  • Experience with and knowledge of change management processes preferred
  • Experience with organizational development programs execution, including performance appraisal, individual development planning, staffing, problem resolution, future planning & organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc. required
  • Proven expertise in organizing information & people from across the organization preferred
  • Experience with development & implementation of policies & programs to support positive employee relations required
