THE ROLE:
The Manager, Organic Social & Influencers is responsible for executing organic social and influencer strategy for History. This role supports the operationalization of social strategy, translating direction from senior leadership into high-performing, platform-native content and campaigns that drive views, audience growth, engagement, and measurable impact.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Organic Social & Influencers and partners closely to ensure consistent execution, clear workflows, and high-quality output across the History brand. The Manager plays a key role in day-to-day execution, content planning, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring social is embedded throughout the editorial and content lifecycle.
This individual collaborates closely with Editorial, Digital Creative, Programming, Marketing/PR, Product, Research, Storyground, and Ad Sales teams to execute organic social and influencer initiatives aligned with content, audience, and business priorities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Organic Social Strategy Execution & Performance:
- Execute organic social strategy for History, ensuring alignment with broader company and editorial priorities
- Manage day-to-day platform performance, including audience growth, engagement, moderation, and optimization
- Implement KPI frameworks and support reporting and performance tracking across History platforms
- Execute against strategic priorities and editorial direction by building and maintaining social calendars and platform-specific distribution plans
- Execute distribution strategies across platforms, ensuring content is optimized for reach, engagement, and platform-native storytelling
- Partner with Digital Creative to support the development and execution of franchise-based content models, leveraging performance insights to help identify scalable formats with potential for sponsorship integration
- Support execution of always-on editorial content and tentpole programming across platforms
- Monitor performance and optimize content based on insights, audience behavior, and platform trends
- Maintain platform best practices and ensure consistency in execution across History channels
Cross Department and Talent Collaboration:
- Execute integrated social plans in partnership with Digital Creative, Editorial, Marketing, Storyground/Ad Sales, PR, and content teams
- Partner closely with Editorial to align on content priorities, storytelling opportunities, and publishing cadence
- Ensure execution of talent-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment with social strategy and campaign objectives
- Coordinate workflows across talent, editorial, production, and marketing teams to ensure timely and efficient execution
- Support digital-first and original editorial content initiatives that extend History’s storytelling across platforms
- Ensure social considerations are incorporated into content planning and execution
- Support initiatives that translate social engagement into measurable outcomes
- Identify opportunities to optimize editorial content for social performance and audience engagement
Operations & Workflow Management:
- Support workflow management, prioritization, and execution across History social channels
- Maintain and update content calendars, planning tools (e.g., Airtable), and tracking systems
- Ensure consistency across content planning, publishing, approvals, and reporting processes
- Flag operational issues and risks to senior leadership in a timely manner
- Support vendor coordination and platform/tool management as needed
Influencer & Creator Execution:
- Support execution of an always-on creator and influencer strategy for History
- Assist with creator sourcing, onboarding, and execution across platforms
- Ensure creator content aligns with History’s voice, tone, and editorial standards
- Support development and implementation of scalable creator workflows and processes
- Track and report on creator performance, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and KPIs
- Partner cross-functionally to align creator initiatives with editorial, content, and platform priorities
- Support compliance processes in partnership with Legal, including contracts and approvals
- Oversee and contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of the AEGM creator database, ensuring accuracy, organization, and usability for team and campaign needs
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with managers and coordinators to ensure consistent execution across the History brand
- Support knowledge sharing, editorial best practices, and team alignment
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–8+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, or digital strategy
- Strong understanding of social platforms, audience behavior, and emerging trends
- Experience executing organic social and influencer campaigns across platforms
- Experience working closely with editorial teams or content-driven brands preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and optimize content
- Experience working cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, and production teams
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills,
