Accountabilities

Major Activities

Support business planning for Wind Assets, by providing generation and revenue figures for the Sidhpur Windfarm 

  • Provide detailed and realistic inputs to Cluster Manager
  • on projected generation & revenue figures and budget requirement for the asset (such as for O&M, manpower, statutory fees and other related charges and fees) 
  • Identify opportunities for increasing the revenue and share with team and management
  • Track asset performance against budgets/business plan and provide periodic updates to management on the same
  • These works have to be done in collaboration with Wind Partner Asset Manager & BoP Partner Asset Manager
 

Drive, Plan & Implement asset management for the asset, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with all contractual terms & conditions 

  • Identification of the Key activities required to be done for WTG, Substation and Lines through regular monitoring and aligning the resources required to attend those as soon as an opportunity is available.
  • Prepare a schedule - for Low Wind Season (LWS) activities (O&M and Testing of equipment), which includes WTG, WTG's DP yard, Transformer, internal/external 33KV lines and Pooling and receiving Substation. 
  • Resources Planning - Material, staffing planning according to the Work schedule.
    Supervise & Monitoring - Closely monitor the resources, and the progress of work, any deviation or delay in the work highlight to the line manager for further planning.
  • Coordinate with DISCOMS and other Stakeholders whose Lines are crossing us for LCP & PFW
  • Contract Administration - Monitor and ensure all deliverables are in place for any activity for which any contract is awarded.
  • Make sure that all activities and installation are in alignment with the required CEA Standards.
  • Ensure proper training of all asset personnel including contractor on asset operating procedures and SOPs
  • Coordinate with Partner Asset Manager for thorough monitoring of asset ensuring availability of all machines and execution of all activities in compliance to terms and conditions specified in O&M contract
  • Exception reporting to the Management for need based intervention
 

Monitor asset performance to ensure compliance with defined business plan

  • Monitor asset performance to ensure we have cumulative windfarm availability of more than 98% as assumed in the business case against the contracted Resource Availability Guarantee of 98% only for Balance of Plant. 
  • Identify issues impacting asset performance, analyse reasons and collaborate with Partner Asset Manager for resolution of the same
  • Ensure Line & Substation Equipment Preventive maintenance are scheduled at every available opportunity for Safety critical or Availability critical actions
  • To prepare yearly observation & maintenance plan related to Lines and substation aligned with the WTG requirements to minimize the revenue losses due to outage.
  • Ensure WEC Preventive maintenance schedule adherence to avoid pendency of Safety critical or Availability critical actions
  • To prepare yearly maintenance plan related to WTG aligned with BOP requirements to minimize the revenue losses due to outage
  • A day ahead planning for deploying of Apraava Energy manpower and O&M Contractor at site
  • Conduct fortnightly meetings with partner asset manager
  • Provide inputs for adjustment of the business plan as per performance and provide forecasts to the management
  • Maintain an effective repository of all asset management documents, contract copies, invoices, land documents etc. for future reference and audit preparedness
 

Deviation Settlement Mechanism, 

  • Co-ordinate with the DSM Team and the QCA team to ensure lower penalties 
  • Strategize with DSM Team to ensure the scheduling will minimize the revenue losses.
 

Monitor compliance of all asset activities with applicable HSSE parameters and policies to drive required standards at work, ensuring smooth plant operations with zero instances of non-compliance

  • Prepare and conduct regular TBT's & training at site. 
  • Coordinate for inspections, including completing documentation and conducting safety incident investigations when needed.
  • Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the APRAAVA safety policy and guidelines.
  • Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviours and correct “at risk” behaviours in all team members.
  • Conduct regular Safety Audit to ensure the compliance of safety requirement and compliance are fulfilled.
  • Conduct periodic meetings and toolbox talks for all asset personnel (including contractors and sub-contractors) to drive awareness and knowledge of Apraava Energy HSSE policies and procedures
  • Report all HSSE accidents and near misses as per defined timelines; Monitor timely implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Ensure compliance to HSSE norms and guidelines for all asset activities; Highlight cases of non-compliance to Partner Asset Manager and Cluster Manager

Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all key stakeholders to help safeguard Apraava Energy’s interests within the limits of organizational guidelines and policies

  • Develop strong relationships with Grid Authorities and other government bodies to ensure collaborative working, timely submission of all invoices and realization of revenue for the regional assets
  • Have oversight of community engagement through HO CSR team and local Admin support. To maintain amicable relationships with local bodies (Panchayats, key villagers, etc.) 
  • Maintain relationship with OEM partners to ensure Apraava Energy points are driven in smooth manner

  • Strong Collaborative & Ownership skills and the ability to manage teams at multiple locations and multiple tasks on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work and successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

Quality Audit


  • Carryout 5% of the Wind turbine inspection post preventive maintenance to provide assurance that maintenance is carried out up to desired standards.

Statutory & O&M fees timely approvals

  • Ensure timely statutory payment 
  • Ensure approval related O&M invoice is on time
  • Entry in GOIS Operational data entry
  • Entry for compliances in- Compliance Manager portal

Admin oversight

  • Admin oversight, administrative decisions, site level People management

Reports

  • Ensure all report to be delivered on time to management and is parked in repository

Material Management 

  • To highlight material requirement 
  • To get the material physically verified

Skills Required

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics
