The Role
As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

Why Join Q2?

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology—and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our “Circle of Awesomeness” award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.

SUMMARYThe Manager, Operations Project Management leads a team of project managers responsible for delivering complex, multi-workstream operational initiatives for Q2’s financial institution and fintech clients. This role is accountable for ensuring projects are scoped effectively, requirements are clear, and timelines and quality commitments are consistently met across a portfolio of client and internal initiatives. Partnering closely with Sales, Support, Development, Product, and Operations, the Manager drives cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, and structured escalation management to support strong client and business outcomes. The role relies on data, project portfolio reporting, and project tracking tools to monitor progress, manage risk, and continuously improve delivery practices within the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:• Lead, develop, and coach a team of project managers delivering complex operational and implementation projects for key clients and internal stakeholders. • Oversee planning and execution across a portfolio of projects, ensuring scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria are clearly defined and actively managed. • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, remove obstacles, and ensure end-to-end processes that intersect with project management are documented and optimized. • Establish, maintain, and enforce standards for project artifacts, documentation, communication, and status reporting to drive consistency and transparency. • Monitor team capacity and workload, making informed resourcing and prioritization decisions to support predictable, sustainable delivery. • Proactively identify risks, issues, and escalations across projects, driving structured problem solving and timely communication with stakeholders. • Provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and development planning for team members, supporting both business objectives and individual growth. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational practices, proposing and implementing enhancements to processes, governance, and ways of working. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 6 years of related experience in project, program, or operations management within financial services or financial technology, or equivalent work experience. • Typically requires 1–2 years of experience managing and developing project professionals, including responsibility for performance and development. • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs from initiation through delivery with clear business or client impact. • Strong skills in organizing and prioritizing multiple concurrent initiatives, managing dependencies, and resolving issues in a structured, timely manner. • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions and levels, including client-facing and internal stakeholders. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including comfort with presenting project status and handling escalations. • Experience driving process improvement and standardization within a project or operations environment, with a focus on predictable, high-quality delivery.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
