About the team:
The channel marketing team is responsible for driving viewer engagement and promoting the JioHotstar and Star Maa channel's brand across multiple platforms. The team creates and executes marketing plans, such as campaigns for show launches, brand partnerships, and audience reach. They collaborate closely with the programming, creative communications, and digital marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximize reach. With a focus on regional markets and audience preferences, the team creates targeted promotions, media planning with ATL marketing campaigns activation with BTL driving micro-marketing and on-ground activation, and digital strategies that enhance the channel's visibility. Their work assures a strong brand presence and fosters audience loyalty in a competitive market.
Reporting To: Associate Director – Channel Marketing, Star Maa
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with central digital teams to brief, execute, and monitor paid campaigns for both JioHotstar and Star Maa.
- Ideate, execute and derive learnings on possible A/B testing for JioHotstar.
- Ensure timely delivery of creative assets, manage campaign calendars, and coordinate with on-platform teams & Digital team to optimize placements and efficiencies.
- Manage and track performance of all on-going marketing campaigns (Target Setting, Post Evals) for JioHotstar & Star Maa.
- Identify opportunities for automation, A/B testing, and new digital formats to enhance campaign efficiency and consumer engagement of JioHotstar & Star Maa.
Skills & Attributes for success:
- Strong grasp of Telugu culture, language and sensibilities.
- Independent and innovative thinker, with ability to deal with complex data & creative problem solving.
- Ability to deal with rapid change and navigate in a complex matrix org environment.
- Strong interest in current culture and new media trends, including other entertainment platforms.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, marketing strategy, and leadership teams.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- 4–7 years in digital marketing, media strategy or (and) performance marketing.
- Prior experience in internet-based industries such as OTT, e-commerce, or digital-first consumer businesses, with a strong understanding of digital user journeys and platform marketing
- Hands-on experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Appsflyer).
- Experience with ad platforms is a strong plus (Meta, Google Ads, DV360).
- MBA in Marketing/Media/Communications/Analytics from Tier-1/2 B-schools (Good-to-have not mandatory).
