We are seeking a highly motivated manager to lead our Market Data Product team. The role will oversee a team of business analysts who will research ideas and initiatives, write development specifications, and see projects through to build and enhance the products we support. This role is pivotal in driving our product strategy, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our clients, and delivering results aligned with our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Define and execute the product roadmap for our data offerings, including real-time, static, and reference data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including engineering, sales, marketing, and client services – to assess client needs and deliver enhancements and roadmap initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the product organization, ensuring alignment on product development priorities and timelines.
Establish and track key performance indicators to measure team and product performance. Track metrics across the team and product to produce data-driven decision-making.
Manage product/software development lifecycle (SDLC), from ideation through development to launch.
Manage support as needed, focusing on communication of new enhancements, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Stay informed about relevant industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the market/reference data space.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product management, specifically in market data or financial technology.
Exceptional understanding of market data products, financial markets, and relevant technologies, most notably:
Real-time feeds from the consolidated exchange data feed providers (e.g., FactSet, LSEG, and Bloomberg)
Intimate familiarity with reference data products from LSEG (DataScope) and Bloomberg (Data License), etc.
Expert-level understanding of corporate action reference data and processing.
Proven ability to develop product strategies and execute them effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools is a must.
