What you’ll do

  • Leadership & People Management: Lead and guide a manufacturing team including supervisors, operators, and technicians on the shop floor. Manage workforce issues, communication, and performance to ensure smooth daily operations. Success means a motivated, high-performing team aligned with production goals.

  • Production Planning & Execution: Oversee and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient execution of production and delivery schedules focused on assembly processes. Daily activities include monitoring shop floor progress and adjusting plans to meet customer requirements. Success is measured by meeting or exceeding on-time delivery targets (>99%).

  • Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing: Apply Lean methodologies to identify and implement process improvements that enhance plant profitability and operational efficiency. Daily involvement in waste elimination, value stream mapping, and efficiency initiatives. Success looks like sustained operational excellence and OEE above 80%.

  • Safety Leadership: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm culture by actively promoting and upholding world-class safety standards. Lead safety compliance efforts including PPE adherence, incident prevention, and corrective actions. Success is zero lost time injuries (LTI) and fostering a safety-first mindset.

  • ERP & Systems Management: Utilize SAP or equivalent ERP systems hands-on for production planning, tracking actuals, and managing manufacturing execution. Ensure data accuracy and leverage ERP insights to drive operational decisions.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • 12–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production, or assembly environments, including leadership responsibility.

  • Strong shop floor people management experience with proven ability to lead supervisors, operators, and technicians.

  • Manufacturing leadership experience in assembly environments with a focus on production planning and execution.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems for manufacturing operations.

  • Fluent communication skills in English and Kannada to effectively engage with shop-floor personnel.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in heavy engineering, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, mining equipment, material handling equipment, power equipment or other complex manufacturing environments.

  • Exposure to planning functions alongside manufacturing operations.

  • Experience managing teams of 20+ employees.

  • Demonstrated success in Lean manufacturing implementation and operational improvements.
