The Manager, Legislative Analytics & Reporting will lead ensuring our packaging legislation data and related impacts are accurately maintained in our database. In this role, the Manager, Legislative Analytics & Reporting will work closely with the cross-functional team to ensure actionable information is consistent between different data sources and identify opportunities to improve how data supports our Legislative Packaging Team.
Responsibilities:

  • Ensure packaging legislation details and impacts are accurately captured in our database, including making regular updates to reflect changes to interdependent attributes.
  • Review and compare data from different sources (legislation tracking database, product shipments, product specification data) to identify discrepancies and resolve differences.
  • Gain an understanding of the packaging portfolio and legislative alternatives (e.g., compostable or reusable packaging).
  • Identify opportunities to improve data capture and work with the Technology Team to implement enhancements.
  • Create and publish reports to help enable the business to meet legislative reporting requirements.
  • Create and maintain trend reporting to support prioritization of activities.
  • Other tasks as required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability or related field
  • 5-7 years in a quantitative Sustainability, Packaging, Operations Planning, or Analytics role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Interest in Sustainability or Legislation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced data analysis and visualization skills including experience using Tableau, and PowerBI
  • Ability to work on your own and collaborate with cross-functional team
  • Ability and desire to execute tactical work and lead strategic work
  • Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems and create clarifying questions to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to read and understand legislation
  • Ability to learn complex processes
