About You
As a Legal, Risk, and Compliance professional the role would involve ensuring that the company operates within legal and regulatory requirements and mitigates potential risks. Would be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the company, including credit, market, and operational risks. Responsibilities may also include managing compliance with laws and regulations, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and providing advice and guidance to business units. Would work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure that all risks are well-managed, and the company operates within established guidelines.
Your role as a Legal, Risk, and Compliance professional would be critical in protecting the company's reputation, maintaining customer trust, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Your Day-to-Day
- Identify, assess, and manage risks across the company, including credit, market, and operational risks
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage risks and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Carry out legal research, legal review based on the existing agreement (if any) or the latest legal statutes on the next applicable action to be executed by the respective departments.
- Provide guidance and advice to business units on legal and regulatory matters
- Monitor and report on legal and regulatory developments that may impact the company's operations
- Manage compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy and anti-money laundering regulations
- Conduct internal investigations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees are aware of their legal and regulatory obligations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure that all risks are well-managed, and the company operates within established guidelines
- Draft letters to external parties; & memo to internal parties.
- Update & record the standard operating procedures for each department upon request.
- Record keeping of all legal documents (agreements/letters/memo);
- Liaise with government agencies (ie : KPKT, BNM, KPDNHEP,others); and reply to governments’ agencies inquiries.
- liaise with auditors; and with Carsome Group on general legal matters.
You Know-How
- More than 4 years of experience in legal advisory
- Legal research & comprehension of laws
- Knowledge of end-to-end business cycle in financing environment in legal & risk compliance.
