Reports to: Director, Insights and Intelligence
Invariant seeks a Manager to join the growing Insights and Intelligence team. You will help turn data, research, narrative intelligence, and digital signals into clear insights and actionable recommendations for clients.

What you’ll do
· Support research, analytics, and intelligence projects, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation development.
· Conduct narrative intelligence, social listening, stakeholder mapping, competitive intelligence, and reputational research across digital, media, policy, and cultural environments.
· Use Blackbird.AI to help identify emerging narratives, influence networks, coordinated amplification, bot activity, misinformation trends, and connected cohorts that may create reputational, financial, operational, or policy risk.
· Build and refine Brandwatch queries, dashboards, landscape reports, and recurring intelligence products that support client strategy and business development.
· Monitor emerging issues, stakeholder conversations, competitor activity, misinformation risks, and regulatory or policy developments relevant to client priorities.
· Synthesize narrative, audience, stakeholder, and market dynamics into clear findings, implications, and recommendations for communications, public affairs, crisis, advocacy, reputation, and business strategy teams.
· Review and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from diverse sources and convert findings into client-ready memos, reports, presentations, and visualizations.
· Support rapid-response analysis during high-profile reputational, policy, corporate, legislative, regulatory, or crisis situations.
· Present findings clearly to internal teams and, when appropriate, client stakeholders.
· Partner with account teams to integrate data and intelligence into communications plans, public affairs campaigns, corporate reputation programs, stakeholder engagement strategies, and crisis response efforts.
· Support the development of research approaches that combine quantitative analysis, qualitative investigation, narrative intelligence, and human judgment.
· Track new AI tools, intelligence platforms, and analytical methods that improve media monitoring, narrative analysis, stakeholder intelligence, and strategic reporting.
· Contribute to reporting templates, analytical frameworks, and repeatable research approaches that strengthen Invariant's Data and Insights offerings.
· Support new business efforts through competitive intelligence, industry research, stakeholder analysis, pitch support, and tailored insights for prospective clients.
Who you are
· Four to seven years of experience in intelligence, analytics, public affairs, strategic communications, consulting, market research, corporate reputation, media intelligence, or a related field.
· Strong researcher and analytical thinker with the ability to identify meaningful patterns across complex information environments.
· Excellent communicator with strong writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills.
· Experience with social listening, narrative intelligence, reputation monitoring, stakeholder analysis, competitive intelligence, audience research, or digital intelligence programs.
· Familiarity with Brandwatch, Blackbird.AI, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Quid, Sprinklr, Zignal, or similar intelligence and analytics platforms.
· Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities, including experience synthesizing information from multiple sources, identifying trends, and drawing defensible conclusions.
· Experience conducting research across digital, media, policy, stakeholder, and competitive environments.
· Ability to synthesize research findings and communicate implications for business, policy, reputational, and stakeholder outcomes.
· Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn new research methods, analytical tools, and intelligence platforms.
· Deep interest in public affairs, corporate reputation, stakeholder behavior, influence, digital culture, emerging technologies, and the evolving information environment.
· Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving situations where judgment, curiosity, and strategic thinking are as important as technical expertise.
· Strong client-service orientation and ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining quality while operating in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience supporting communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, crisis, policy, advocacy, or reputation management efforts is preferred.
· Experience with AI-enabled research workflows, narrative intelligence platforms, and emerging analytical technologies is a plus.
· Experience in an agency, consulting, public affairs, communications, media, corporate reputation, or intelligence environment is preferred.
· Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in public policy, communications, political science, international affairs, business, data analytics, or a related field is a plus.
Salary range is $95,000 – $120,000 and will be determined based on skills, experience, and market data.
