Job Description:

• Midrange Tower Lead who can perform below:
  o    Lead and manage a team of resources in the Midrange Tower, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high-performance delivery.
  o    Ensure effective team collaboration, supervising progress, and optimizing workflows to meet project goals and deadlines.
  o    Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to team members.
   
• Technical Expertise & Technical Oversight
  • Architect and design VMware infrastructure, including networking, hosting, and storage.
  • Oversee and manage system migrations, deployments, go-live processes, and ensuring smooth execution of Midrange projects.
  • Implement and support secure, scalable IT solutions with focus on improving existing infrastructure.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Midrange escalations, proactively addressing and resolving issues, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization.
  • Provide strategic guidance on Midrange architecture, security, and best practices for performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and offer innovative solutions.
  • Oversee capacity planning & optimization by working with your team to monitor usage and performance of storage and compute resources to forecast needs, ensuring the infrastructure scales appropriately.
     
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Storage, Backup, Network, Application developers, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and efficient system performance.
  • Lead service review meetings with key stakeholders, providing insights, updates, and recommendations on service performance.
  • Engage with IT Service Management teams to provide reports or updates on Incidents, Problems, Changes, Capacity, and Service Levels.
     
• Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Manage and improve service levels (SLAs) for the Midrange Tower to ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient IT services.
  • Monitor service performance under the Midrange Tower, identifying trends and areas for improvement to drive continuous service enhancement.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive documentation, training sessions, and knowledge sharing across the team to ensure a strong, unified approach to Midrange services and support.

• Microsoft Windows Server (15+ years)
• Powershell (5+ years)
• Active Directory (10+ years)
• Dell compute platforms (5+ years)
• Backup and Recovery technologies/methodologies (3+ years)
• Industrial compute platforms/technologies (5+ years)
   

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of IT experience, specializing in VMware infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and system management.
• Proven leadership in system architecture, deployment, and maintenance for manufacturing environments.
• Strong team management and communication skills, with experience collaborating on large IT projects.
