Job DescriptionABOUT THE ROLE:
The Manager, Fund Accounting is responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, and overall operational delivery for complex fund and holding structures, including SPVs, Property Companies, and Holding Companies. The role serves as the primary decision‑maker and escalation point for accounting, operational, and stakeholder‑related matters, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and timely deliverables. In addition to providing senior technical review of NAVs and financial statements, the Manager leads and develops teams, drives operational efficiency, manages risk and controls, and fosters a high‑performance culture through coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting, Review & Operational Oversight: Oversee and review day‑to‑day accounting operations for complex structures, including bank transactions, invoicing, accruals and provisions, intercompany activity, interest calculations, amortization/depreciation schedules, and month‑end reconciliations, ensuring sound accounting judgment, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
NAV, Financial Statements & Management Reporting: Review and approve NAV calculations, financial statements, management accounts, cash flow statements, liquidity and FMV reports, applying professional judgment to complex accounting areas and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and reporting timelines.
Operational Governance, Risk & Process Efficiency: Provide overall oversight of fund accounting operations by identifying operational risks, resolving issues, standardizing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring strong controls, scalability, and efficient service delivery.
Audit, Tax & External Stakeholder Leadership: Lead the year‑end audit and reporting process, including review of annual accounts and audit deliverables; oversee preparation of financial data for local tax filings (corporate income tax, GST); and act as the primary liaison with administrators, external auditors, tax advisors, and lending banks.
People Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop fund accounting teams by providing regular feedback, technical guidance, and performance management; support capability building, succession planning, and engagement initiatives to drive strong team performance and long‑term talent development.

ABOUT YOU:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in fund or real estate accounting, including proven people‑management responsibility (leading, coaching, and developing teams); CA or equivalent professional qualification is a strong advantage.
Systems & Technical Proficiency: Mandatory hands‑on experience with Yardi, supported by strong familiarity with financial and accounting reporting systems, advanced computer and spreadsheet skills, and solid experience with SOX and internal control environments.
Leadership, Judgment & Decision‑Making: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams under pressure, adjust plans to meet changing business needs, summarize complex issues, develop well‑reasoned recommendations, and make sound, timely decisions at a managerial level.
Execution, Governance & Technical Rigor: Strong capability to multitask and prioritize diverse deliverables while maintaining a high level of accuracy, detail orientation, integrity, and professionalism, coupled with the ability to research, interpret, and conclude on complex technical accounting matters.
Professional, Communication & Industry Expertise: Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory); proactive, initiative‑driven, and collaborative leader with experience in direct real estate investments, capable of engaging stakeholders effectively and fostering a high‑performance, accountable team culture.
