Position Overview:
As the Manager FP&A, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis for SharkNinja’s Amazon US account. This role will focus on commercially focused financial reporting and providing insights into performance across the P&L. You will support financial overdrive initiatives across the P&L, including promo optimization, shortage management, post audits, terms, and external profit management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & P&L Support:
- Support financial reporting for the Amazon US business, focusing on key metrics such as Sales, Promotional Spend, Net Sales, Gross Margin (GM), Margin less Media (MLM), and Operational Margin (AIM).
- Provide financial analysis to support initiatives that optimize product mix, promotional efficiency, and cost management.
- Assist in the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans for the US Amazon account, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Operational & Financial Overdrive Initiatives:
- Support operational initiatives such as shortage management, post audits, terms negotiations, and external profit management to improve overall financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Amazon Sales team to optimize promotional strategies and product performance, contributing to overall revenue and margin improvements.
- Monitor and provide insights into the financial impact of promotional and operational activities, helping drive continuous improvement across the P&L.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with finance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that inventory, logistics, and promotional activities align with financial and sales goals.
- Provide financial insights to the Amazon Sales team to ensure product launches, promotions, and pricing strategies are aligned with margin objectives.
- Develop regular financial reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles, preferably within e-commerce or retail.
- Strong experience with financial reporting and analysis across the P&L, with exposure to metrics such as POS, Net Sales, Cost, GM, MLM, and AIM.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or Domo.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, sales, marketing, and operations teams.
