Aypa Power is seeking a FP&A Manager to join our growing Finance team and play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support across our renewable energy platform. 

This role will partner closely with Development, Construction, Operations, Commercial, Project Finance, Accounting, and other functional leaders to translate business activity into financial forecasts, analyze performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. 

The Manager will have meaningful ownership of Aypa’s recurring forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis processes across both corporate functions and our portfolio of development, construction, and operating assets. The position will also play an important role in continuing to improve and scale Aypa’s FP&A capabilities through automation, process improvement, and effective use of Workday Adaptive Planning. 

The ideal candidate is a strong FP&A professional who combines financial modeling and analytical capabilities with business judgment, curiosity, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. This individual should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, capital-intensive environment and partnering across the organization to improve both financial performance and the processes used to manage the business. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own key components of the company’s annual budget, recurring forecasts, and long-range planning processes across corporate functions and Aypa’s renewable energy portfolio;
  • Develop and maintain project- and portfolio-level forecasts across Development, Construction, and Operating Assets, including revenue, DevEx, CapEx, OpEx, cash flows, and corporate SG&A; 
  • Partner with Development, Construction, Operations, Commercial, Project Finance, and other business leaders to understand performance, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and improve forecast accuracy;
  • Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, develop clear variance explanations, and provide actionable insights to management;
  • Support monthly and quarterly management reporting, including financial results, KPIs, project performance, cash flow, and forward-looking outlooks for senior leadership and other key stakeholders;
  • Support company and project-level cash forecasting, liquidity planning, scenario analysis, and capital requirements;
  • Evaluate financial performance throughout the project lifecycle and translate changes in development, construction, and operations into financial impacts;
  • Drive improvements to FP&A processes by simplifying, standardizing, and automating forecasting, reporting, and analytical workflows;
  • Leverage Workday Adaptive Planning and other finance tools to enhance financial models, reporting, dashboards, analytics, and business visibility;
  • Partner with Accounting, IT, and other teams to improve financial data flows, reporting processes, data quality, and system integrations. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial planning, or a related role;
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, cash flow, and management reporting;
  • Demonstrated experience owning or materially supporting recurring budgeting and forecasting processes;
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel;
  • Strong business partnership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization;
  • Experience with enterprise planning, reporting, or financial systems. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, private equity-backed businesses, or another capital-intensive industry;
  • Experience supporting project-based businesses and financial planning across development, construction, and operating stages;
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or another enterprise planning platforms;
  • Familiarity with project finance, investment analysis, infrastructure asset economics, or project-level cash flow modeling;
  • Experience improving or automating FP&A reporting, dashboards, and planning processes;
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant professional qualification is a plus. 

Compensation and Location

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience; 
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
