General Description:

The Manager, Field Operations (Commercial, Medical Affairs) will play a pivotal role in driving Commercial and Medical Affairs strategy, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient execution of critical initiatives in support of the launch and commercialization of BeiGene’s Oncology portfolio in North America. This position will report to the Associate Director, NA Commercial & Medical Affairs Operations and will partner closely COBA internal teams to support Sales, Marketing, Med Affairs stakeholders. This position will drive continuous improvements in field tools and identify innovative ways of provisioning key business insights to help the Commercial/Medical Affairs organization achieve desired business outcomes.

Essential Functions:

Overarching:

  • Establish a business partnership with Commercial and Global Medical Affairs teams to understand their priorities and create a roadmap together to provide timely business insights and technical solutions.
  • Partners with business leaders to understand their needs, and works to ensure system integrations and data flows are properly prioritized, scoped, delivered and managed in support of business requirements.

Front-line Field Support:

  • Provide front-line support to the Sales, Field Marketing, and Field Medical Affairs teams on data, resources, and tools. Be the first line for field ad-hoc analysis and custom reports for commercial & medical affairs teams.
  • Ensure the highest integrity, consistency and quality in the reporting and ad hoc analytics.
  • Establish a support framework for reliable and timely resolution of issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Partner with Training teams to provide efficient and effective training on Data and tools to the field teams.

Operational Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and present performance reports to senior leadership.

Sales Strategy Execution / Sales Enablement:

  • Support the execution of sales strategies by aligning with marketing on rollout plan, providing sales with the right tools to pull through, and collaborating with Training teams on training for sales to execute efficiently.
  • Coordinate with marketing to ensure alignment of sales materials and messaging.

CRM & Business Insights Tools

  • Engage with the stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs) and develop tool roadmaps to support their business strategies .
  • Partner with Business Analytics team to implement the strategic initiatives into field tools for seamless execution of strategy.
  • Work with Marketing promotion team to ensure approved marketing materials are loaded in CRM for the field teams to use.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Optimize CRM and reporting tools for better usability to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Establish operational reliability and readiness of all solutions prior to transitioning into production through quality assurance testing, assisting in user acceptance testing and review of various production transition plans. 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Data strategy and Data Integration partners for secondary data acquisition for timeliness and completeness of data flowing to the reporting layers to ensure maximum utility across business functions.

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 5 years' experience or a Masters in Science or related field with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • 4-5 years of Pharmaceutical industry working in Commercial operations, Medical Affairs operations, or related experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience in information technology design, implementation, and/or analytics platform (data warehouse, ETL/transformations, data hub) support in the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry.

Other Qualifications: 

  • Strong database/SQL skills to run queries to analyze data and create ad hoc reports is highly preferred.
  • Experience with secondary data assets from SHA or IQVIA highly desired.
  • Extensive experience with CRM tools, salesforce effectiveness & Business Intelligence reports is a must.
  • Strong data knowledge with pharmaceutical business knowledge and technical aptitude to define and advance commercial solutions.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and presentation and project management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate needs assessments across the commercial organization, and an ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to those needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrixed environment, and an ability to build solid relationships / make connections across the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business acumen with the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data to enable business analysis with high level of performance and trust.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience and communicate solution value.
  • Must be able to identify operational weakness and implement corrective action / plan.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop others.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Travel: 20 - 30%

Computer Skills: PC, including MS Office Suite

Salary Range: $112,700.00 - $152,700.00 annually

BeiGene is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
