Job Description

As the Manager, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide EDI programs that advance culture, talent outcomes, and organizational performance. This role drives cross-functional initiatives that embed inclusion and equity across all aspects of the employee experience, ensuring all individuals—regardless of identity—are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

You will be part of a global investment organization of 2,000+ employees, working on behalf of over 22 million contributors and beneficiaries. EDI is central to our purpose and values. We are committed to fostering a culture where diversity of thought, background, and experience is embraced, and where everyone has a fair opportunity to grow, contribute, and lead.

Role-Specific Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring execution excellence, stakeholder confidence, and alignment to enterprise timelines.
  • Partner with the Managing Director, EDI to implement and manage a global strategy for equity, diversity, and inclusion that aligns with the company's values, mission, and business goals.
  • Manage and support regulatory compliance requirements, including but not limited to Employment Equity Act (EEA), Accessible Canada Act (ACA), and required US filings.
  • Research, develop, recommend, and drive creative, scalable and high-impact EDI solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Talent and leadership to embed EDI across the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making through regular monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on EDI KPIs; connect insights to enterprise-wide performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on diversity and inclusion, contributing to discussions and issue management within Talent and in support of departmental leaders
  • Manage governance and support 7 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Partner with leaders to embed inclusive leadership practices and drive cultural transformation.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to champion diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of best practices related to EDI and champion equity-centred enhancements
  • Develop internal communications communications strategies to deepen EDI literacy, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
  • Work closely with external partners, assistants, vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize partnership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience advancing inclusive talent or organizational culture strategies in complex or global environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale Talent programs or initiatives with measurable organizational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with limited oversight.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence at all levels.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis to track and improve diversity metrics.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Experience operating in a global environment with understanding of diverse regulatory Jurisdictions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Tableau.
