About the Role
This position is responsible running the regional EMC & Electrical Validation Labs, test outsource and daily activities.
Regional point of contact for Harman EMC & Electrical Validation related tasks and strategies. Primary function is to ensure products meet customer, legal, and Harman International requirements using best practice methods and tools, in time, quality, and cost.
What You Will Do
- Leading of EMC & Electrical Validation Team in China, providing direction, leadership and motivation.
- Develop, coach and lead European Electrical Validation Team towards. achievement of individual and team goals; hire, train, coaching and career development, evaluate employee performance.
- Manage and control EMC/Electrical validation related spending, resource allocating & task execution.
- Drive improvement and development of EMC & Electrical Validation processes.
- Ensure global and regional processes and procedures are followed, verifying team acceptance and adherence.
- Providing tools required to complete product qualification in compliance with global and Customer standards.
- Drive Development, automations and optimization of test methods and processes.
- Review and approving validation plans and RFQ inputs.
- Monitor and report testing statuses.
- Oversight test summaries, test reports and presentations to internal stakeholders and Customer.
- Identify the work force resources, capital equipment and expense needs for annual budget planning.
- Drive and optimize outsourcing of testing to external Labs.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Strong EMC knowledge and proven work experience of technical team management in automotive industrial. Well understand of electronics and telecommunications.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or appropriate graduation. MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years EMC qualification, 8+ years’ managerial experience, automotive industry background highly desirable.
- Experience in escalation and problem resolving for customer project critical issues.
- Fluent English communication ability.
- Experience of setting up EMC validation labs and customer accreditations.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Familiar with ISO17025 or IFTA 16949, sufficient knowledge at project management.
- Familiar with Automotive international EMC standards. Knowledge in automotive OEM specs is a plus.
- Well trained in problem solving methodology. Such as DMAIC, PDCA, CAPA and etc.
