As the Manager, Development of Adcetera, you will play a pivotal role in leading and driving innovation within our web development team. Your primary focus will be on overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions using Drupal and other DXP enterprise content management system technologies. You will be at the forefront of delivering seamless, high-performance websites and digital experiences for our clients, empowering them to achieve their marketing and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of talented developers, providing technical guidance, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  2. Technical Strategy: Formulate and execute technical strategies aligned with the marketing agency's vision, ensuring the adoption of the most suitable CMS technologies for clients' diverse needs.
  3. Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  4. Drupal Development: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Drupal, the Acquia DXP stack, and other enterprise CMS platforms to program robust and scalable solutions, resolving technical challenges efficiently.
  5. Quality Assurance: Oversee best practices for code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization to maintain the agency's reputation for delivering top-tier digital experiences.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and account service, to integrate their expertise seamlessly into the development process and create unified digital experiences.
  7. Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Drupal and other CMS platforms, incorporating relevant innovations into our solutions.
  8. Client Engagement: Act as a technical advisor for clients, understanding their unique requirements and translating them into actionable development plans that align with their marketing objectives.
  9. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in projects and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  10. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external technology partners and vendors, evaluating their offerings and managing relationships to ensure optimal project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • This is a 50/50 role requiring 50% management and 50% development.
  • Proven experience as a Development Manager, Technical Lead, or similar role within a marketing agency or relevant industry.
  • Extensive expertise in Drupal and other enterprise CMS technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web development languages (e.g., PHP), front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and web services (RESTful APIs).
  • Experience utilizing Jira and agile methodology to manage development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a strategic and forward-thinking approach to technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
