About the Position's Contributions:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager of Data Strategy & Privacy to join our team at Dotdash Meredith. The Manager of Data Strategy & Privacy will play a critical role in shaping our data-driven approach, leveraging insights to inform decision-making, and driving strategic initiatives to optimize performance across our digital publishing brands. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a leading digital media company.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute data strategy initiatives to support business objectives and drive growth across Dotdash Meredith brands, including the D/Cipher product.

Utilize advanced data analytics techniques and tools to create analysis around segment composition usage, business optimizations, and market trends.

Apply privacy by design principles to projects, products, and data flows.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and sales to identify data-driven insights and opportunities for optimization.

Lead the development and implementation of data governance policies (including privacy and AI) and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Provide strategic guidance on data collection, storage, and utilization to optimize performance and enhance user experiences.

Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and digital publishing to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

Be an internal resource on the ever changing regulatory landscape as it relates to consumer privacy, AI, or identity and how it applies to the DDM business– includes monitoring, maintaining, aggregating, and communicating learnings.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field; advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, with a focus on consumer privacy, AI, digital publishing or media industries.

Proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies to drive business growth and enhance user experiences.

Understanding and proficiency with data analytics and/or ad serving tools preferred (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Looker, DMPs)

Experience with consent management platforms preferred (e.g., OneTrust, Securiti)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of data governance principles, regulations, and best practices in digital publishing.
