The Chief Controls Office at Webster Bank is seeking a Manager, Data, Reporting & Analytics to lead the development of high-impact dashboards using Power BI. This individual contributor role is central to our data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on data collection, validation, and automation to support accurate and efficient reporting. The role supports a centralized reporting function across Front-Line Control teams, enabling consistent insights across the bank’s Front-Line Units. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver dashboards that provide visibility into the bank’s risk and control environment, supporting Board and Management-level reporting and helping drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesPower BI Development
Design, build, and maintain dashboards that deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, control owners, and governance committees. Ensure dashboards are intuitive, visually compelling, and aligned with business needs.
Data Collection and Quality Assurance
Own the process of gathering and validating data inputs from various sources. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data used in reporting. Collaborate with data owners to resolve gaps and discrepancies and support efforts to automate data intake where feasible. Additionally, document and maintain data controls related to source integrity, transformation logic, and reporting outputs to ensure transparency and auditability.
Metrics and Reporting Support
Support the development and maintenance of dashboards that provide visibility into key metrics including KRIs, KPIs, and other indicators used in Board and Management-level reporting. Ensure reporting is clear, consistent, and adaptable to evolving business needs. Prepare for future integration with platforms like ServiceNow, ensuring continuity and scalability of reporting solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business units and control teams to gather requirements, iterate on dashboard designs, and respond to shifting priorities. Translate business needs into technical solutions while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Process Improvement and Automation
Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes. Recommend and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enhance data reliability.
Ad Hoc Analysis and Executive Support
Respond quickly to urgent requests from executives and senior stakeholders. Deliver high-quality, data-driven outputs under tight timelines, often requiring agility in focus and priorities.
QualificationsRequired:
5+ years of hands-on experience developing dashboards in Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred:
Power BI certification
Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint
Familiarity with risk and control frameworks (e.g., RCSA, QA, control testing)
SQL or scripting experience for data extraction and transformation
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
This role has a hybrid work schedule and can be based in our NYC, Jericho, Southington, Stamford, Rhode Island or Massachusetts. This role does not offer sponsorship.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,000 USD to $125,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
