THE ROLE
Type: Full-Time Remote or Hybrid
We are looking for a results-oriented and creative Senior Data Engineer to join The MLC Data Platform Team. You will join a growing team working on our Data Platform in a fast-paced, friendly environment. The Data Platform function enables The MLC to obtain intelligence from its ever-expanding dataset.
As a Senior Engineer of The MLC Data Platform Team, you will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, BI and reporting tools in alignment with the organization’s data strategy, as well as oversee day-today operations of multiple data platforms, ensuring continuous stability, high availability, and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 5 years’ development experience using multiple programming languages.
· Experience in designing, building and extending large datastores, using Big Data Techniques
· Knowledge of ETL and orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, Dagster.
· Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform
· Experience working on large and complex applications with high business and customer impact
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
AS A DEVELOPER YOU WILL:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
- Pick relevant technologies and lead with a test-first approach
- Work closely with Technical and non-Technical stakeholders to ensure their needs are understood and met
