Manager of Data Engineering

What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for managing and overseeing the data engineering team and driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's data infrastructure and pipelines. The Manager of Data Engineering will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of data systems to support business analytics and operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in data engineering or a similar role, with a focus on data integration, data pipelines, and database management typically required.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
- Proficiency in AWS services for data engineering, such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and related technologies.
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture, design, and optimization.
- Familiarity with Qlik for data modeling, visualization, and dashboard development.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of data engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to architect scalable and robust data solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
