What kind of person should you be?
- Act as a liaison among product managers, engineering units, and analytics experts to align product engineering strategies with analytics growth.
- Ensure timely and flawless execution of priority analytics deliverables through organized sprint planning and Agile practices.
- Help maintain product roadmaps for the team’s portfolio of products along with the Product Manager
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and optimize ETL processes to transform data into actionable models.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products in the engineering team’s portfolio and be able to act a resource for questions about all aspects of those products
- Ensure that any necessary documentation is written and maintained by the engineering team
- Hire, train, coach, mentor, and develop staff, including conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action with the assistance of Human Resources when necessary
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by following the broader industry, attending management-focused training sessions and educational workshops
- Create and maintain a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization with an emphasis on the KUBRA mission, vision, guiding principles, and values
- Engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with analytics-driven objectives and adopt a multi-disciplinary approach
What skills do you need?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Advanced certifications in analytics or cloud technologies preferred.
- 8–10 years in engineering, data analytics, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in leadership.
- Proven expertise in cloud-based platforms and data technologies, including AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift), SQL, and modern BI tools.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks is essential. Familiarity with Snowflake is highly desirable
- Preferred experience in GenAI and ML, reflecting a forward-looking approach to emerging technologies.
- Strong command of Agile practices with a proven ability to lead teams in dynamic and iterative environments
- Proficiency in ETL pipeline automation, data modeling, and BI tool configurations (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, AWS)
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrated abilities in Agile environments.
- Excellent written/verbal skills, as well as the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Leadership aptitude with a history of building, motivating, and inspiring diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Cloud-based architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and Docker
- Leadership and management skills – the ability to attract, retain, motivate, mentor, and develop team members to perform to their highest potential
- Project management skills – the ability to plan and manage successful projects; including managing risks, costs, time, and roadmaps
- Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
