We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst with deep expertise in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and ERP systems to support and enhance our operational and financial performance. This role serves as a strategic business partner to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics, providing critical insights and leading initiatives that improve cost transparency, control, and system effectiveness. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in cost analysis, ERP configuration (preferably Sage X3), and operational finance in a manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate operational initiatives, capital investments, and supply chain projects from a financial perspective.
- Lead regular performance review meetings with operations leadership to monitor cost trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and track project outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and promote financial accountability across manufacturing functions.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for manufacturing and operations.
- Analyze cost trends, production variances, and margin performance to inform strategic planning.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate business cases, capital expenditures, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and performance reports to monitor key financial and operational metrics.
Cost Accounting & ERP Integration
- Maintain and analyze standard costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
- Ensure accurate cost capture in the ERP system (Sage X3 preferred) and collaborate with IT and operations to improve system functionality.
- Drive process improvements in cost accounting and manufacturing finance workflows.
- Support month-end close activities, cost reconciliations, and financial audits related to inventory and production.
- Support ERP implementation projects (with preference for Sage X3), focusing on finance, cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing modules.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting.
- Maintain documentation of cost accounting methodologies and ERP-related processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory controls, and ERP systems (Sage X3 preferred).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Prior experience in multi-site or global manufacturing organizations.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION:
- Classification: Full-time
- Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience; includes equity package
- The base salary range for this position is $ 130,000 - $150,000 per year, which represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this exempt position.
- Please note that actual offer will vary based on factors including, but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors including internal equity. As such, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the lower or upper end of the range. Please also note the compensation range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
