Role: Manager, Corporate Trust

Schedule: 12:00pm to 9:00pm/ 6:30pm to 3:30pm
Working model: Hybrid (3 days onsite + 2 days WFH)
Introduction:
In Australia, we operate a highly regulated wholesale trustee business committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance, and client service. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Manager reporting to a Senior Manager, Corporate Trust.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Trust team, coordinating and managing the delivery of timely and accurate trustee services across a portfolio of wholesale trusts. Your responsibilities will include managing corporate secretarial activities, director approvals, investor reporting, and corporate accounting services to ensure smooth operation of these trusts.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the service delivery for a portfolio of investment manager clients and trusts, ensuring operational excellence and high client satisfaction.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned clients/trusts, including onboarding and integrating new clients and trusts, and offboarding schemes that are winding up.
- Review trust/fund constitutive documents, establish governance and compliance frameworks and processes for new trusts/funds to facilitate trust/fund formation and operation.
- Manage transactional activities including acquisitions, divestments, capex projects, refinancing or any other relevant matters.
- Liaise with and monitor service providers responsible for the preparation of trusts accounts, tax returns, business activity statements, annual investor income reports and other mandatory reports.
- Oversee service providers to ensure compliance with service agreements, regulatory requirements, the trust deed and the law.
- Support the team to ensure all compliance obligations are met, including Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, in line with internal policies and controls.
- Establish, maintain and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Participate in ongoing automation initiatives and continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Contribute to key projects and undertake ad hoc duties as required to support the team and business objectives.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in a Legal, Accounting, Audit, Funds or Governance roles.
- Strong understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Trustee.
- Client management and relationship management experience.
- Knowledge of the managed funds industry and operational experience relating to managed investment schemes (MIS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure, deliver results and meets customer expectations.
- Works collaboratively and enjoys working with and influencing colleagues and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Highly principled with the ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
