Manager, Contract Revenue

NASCAR is seeking a Manager, Contract Revenue, to lead accounting for assigned contract-based revenue streams. This role combines technical accounting expertise with hands-on ownership of contract review, the monthly close, audit support, and process improvement.
You will partner with teams across the business to translate complex agreements into clear accounting conclusions and help ensure revenue is recorded accurately and on time. This position is based in Daytona Beach, Florida.

What You’ll Do

• Review and interpret contracts for assigned revenue streams, determine the appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 606 and company policies, and document conclusions in technical accounting memos when needed.
• Oversee monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation. Research and resolve discrepancies to support accurate, timely reporting.
• Support the annual external audit by preparing analyses and documentation and working directly with auditors as needed.
• Maintain revenue accounting policies and procedures, support compliance with internal controls, and recommend improvements.
• Lead and support initiatives that streamline revenue-related processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Help ensure accurate data flow between Workday and connected systems by overseeing mapping, translation tables, and reconciliations and partnering with system experts to resolve issues.
• Provide financial data and analysis for special projects, strategic initiatives, and requests from teams including Tax, Legal, and Sales.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience with contracted revenue and a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
• Two years of public accounting experience preferred. CPA certification or CPA eligibility is also preferred.
• Ability to explain accounting policies and conclusions clearly to management, business partners, customers, and accounting staff.
• Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Workday Financials preferred.
• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A collaborative approach, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to accurate, timely work.
• Experience managing staff is preferred.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime when needed to meet department deadlines and priorities.
