Position Summary
The Manager, Continuous Improvement will support the organization in developing and sustaining a culture of Lean principles and continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for driving financial results through project execution, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering collaboration across departments to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a change leader, capable of inspiring teams to embrace innovative solutions and streamlined processes.
Key Responsibilities
Build a Culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement
· Act as a change agent, championing Lean methodologies and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
· Inspire cross-functional teams to embrace Lean through the reduction of waste.
· Use a variety of training, communications, and other tools (recognition programs, etc.) to engage the organization.
Process Improvement
· Partner cross-functionally to identify areas of inefficiency and develop strategies for improvement.
· Utilize data-driven methodologies such as Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis to address opportunities.
· Implement standardized processes to enhance productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate with department leaders and peers to align key initiatives with organizational priorities.
· Monitor and measure improvements to ensure sustainable results.
Project Management
· Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and driving cost savings.
· Establish clear project goals, timelines, and metrics for success.
· Manage resources effectively and ensure accountability for each project’s outcomes.
Support the Continuous Improvement Roadmap and Track Results
· Discover and execute projects that align with the organization’s continuous improvement roadmap.
· Set clear objectives, milestones, and performance indicators.
· Track monthly savings and progress of savings to our annual goals.
· Provide leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations for further improvements.
Requirements
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
· Expertise in Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Change Management.
· Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
· Project Management Professional certification or similar is highly desirable.
· Proven track record of leading organizational change and implementing process improvements; ability to inspire, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams.
· A passion for creating impact through cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and team empowerment.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
· Proven project management skills: detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to effectively manage multiple workstreams.
· Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships across the organization, to manage and lead by influence. and to overcome resistance to change.
· Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation.
