General Description:
- BeOne is seeking a compliance professional to work with the Latin America Compliance Lead, covering maternity leave and support its return without business disruption. This position will support and advance BeOne’s Healthcare Compliance program in Latin America and support global teams and projects as needed. As BeOne advances its global presence, this position will require a self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and has a pragmatic approach to identifying and managing risks. The ideal candidate will possess great understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and best practices in the Latin America region.
Essential Functions of the job:
- Support the continued development of BeOne’s Healthcare Compliance Program in Latin America, consistent with BeOne’s Code of Conduct and Healthcare Compliance policies, as well as applicable industry standards and best practices.
- Advise internal teams (including Commercial, Medical, and Clinical) on a broad array of healthcare compliance matters, including antibribery and anticorruption, interpretation of company policies, communications about BeOne products, and interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, patients, and government entities.
- Support the design and implementation of regional solutions that adhere to both BeOne’s Code of Conduct and the relevant local laws in Latin America, emphasizing a practical and effective approach.
- Proactively identify industry trends and practices applicable to healthcare compliance; support the establishment and advise on policies and procedures to ensure the continued effectiveness of BeOne’s Healthcare Compliance Program.
- Support internal reviews, risk assessments, and monitoring and auditing to ensure that compliance policies and procedures function as intended; identify potential compliance risks and implement plans for remediation when necessary.
- Support compliance investigations within Latin America region, including the management of any resulting corrective actions plans.
- Support the establishment of policies, procedures, and systems to foster compliance with healthcare fraud and abuse and transparency reporting obligations, as well as applicable industry codes in the region.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training consistent with BeOne policies, applicable laws, and industry standards; lead and maintain effective compliance communications with business partners to promote compliance awareness.
- Support global and regional compliance projects on an as-needed basis, including support of commercial, medical, and clinical teams and activities.

Other Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in compliance with laws, regulations, industry codes and best practices relevant to the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in Latin America.
- Experience with compliance rules across varied jurisdictions is a plus; a willingness to learn and ability to adapt core compliance principles to unfamiliar situations is required.
- Ability to apply a risk-based analysis to compliance issues and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in developing solutions that satisfy both business requirements and compliance obligations.
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written; strong interpersonal skills in both one-on-one and group settings).
- Portuguese native speaker. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Travel: Approximately 5 – 10% of time
Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience: Degree in Law required; Postgraduate compliance qualifications are preferred but not required. Minimum of 5-plus of combined experience in healthcare compliance, including in-house experience (ideally at a multinational Pharma group)
