Purpose of Job
We’re seeking a strategic and results-driven Commercial Operations Manager with 10-12 years of experience in life sciences commercial operations and analytics. This senior role is ideal for a leader with a proven track record of designing and delivering high-impact commercial strategies for top pharma clients. You’ll oversee complex initiatives, lead cross-functional teams, and drive operational excellence in areas such as incentive compensation, commercial analytics, CRM enablement, and data strategy, ensuring measurable client success.

Strategic Leadership and Client Engagement
• Provide strategic leadership across large-scale commercial operations programs, ensuring delivery excellence, operational stability, and measurable business outcomes across diverse functional domains.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including Commercial Operations Leaders, VPs, and Chief Commercial Officers, building strong relationships and guiding strategic decision-making.
• Lead complex project portfolios and managed services engagements, establishing priorities, governance frameworks, performance metrics, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.
• Establish and oversee robust reporting and governance processes, developing executive-level dashboards, operational scorecards, and performance reporting that provide transparency into project health, business impact, service delivery, and strategic outcomes.
• Drive data-driven decision making by leveraging reporting, analytics, and operational insights to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and continuously improve program performance.
• Drive operational excellence by implementing scalable delivery models, strengthening team capabilities, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Identify and champion opportunities for innovation, leveraging emerging technologies, AI-enabled solutions, automation, and industry best practices to improve efficiency, enhance client value, and future-proof commercial operations programs.
• Partner with clients to assess evolving business needs, define strategic roadmaps, and proactively recommend enhancements that increase operational maturity and organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide solutions that align commercial operations, market access, omnichannel, patient services, and broader business objectives.
• Oversee resource planning, stakeholder management, financial performance, and delivery quality across multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term client success.
• Anticipate industry trends and market changes, translating insights into actionable strategies that help clients remain competitive and ahead of evolving commercial operations requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing commercial operations teams that consistently deliver exceptional client outcomes, operational excellence, and measurable business impact.
• Establish and reinforce best practices, quality standards, and delivery frameworks that ensure consistency, scalability, and excellence across engagements.
• Mentor and coach consultants, analysts, and team leads, fostering expertise in commercial operations, problem solving, reporting, analytics, and strategic thinking.
• Develop a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement, empowering teams to proactively identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and exceed client expectations.
• Elevate team capabilities in reporting, performance measurement, and data storytelling, ensuring deliverables are accurate, insightful, actionable, and tailored to stakeholder needs.
• Guide teams in translating data into meaningful business insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness.

Solution Design and Oversight
Lead the successful delivery of large-scale commercial operations programs across a broad range of functional domains, including incentive compensation, commercial analytics, data warehousing, master data management, CRM, field enablement, territory design, and commercial data strategy.
• Rapidly assess client needs, business challenges, and operational environments to define delivery approaches, establish governance, and drive execution regardless of functional area.
• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, meet quality standards, and achieve business objectives.
• Establish scalable operating models, processes, and controls that drive stability, consistency, and long-term sustainability of commercial operations programs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by proactively evaluating emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, industry best practices, and market trends to enhance client outcomes and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps that balance immediate business needs with long-term capability development and operational maturity.
• Oversee program performance, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
• Graduate or Master's degree from a Tier-I/Tier-II institution with a strong academic record. MBA, Master's in Analytics, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial operations, consulting, analytics, managed services, or related functions, with at least 2–3 years of experience leading teams, programs, or client engagements.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale commercial operations programs and/or managed services engagements, with accountability for delivery excellence, operational performance, stakeholder satisfaction, and business outcomes.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical commercial data ecosystems, including provider, patient, claims, prescription, specialty pharmacy, hub, CRM, and master data domains, with a strong understanding of how data drives commercial strategy and operational decision-making.
• Strong understanding of commercial operations functions such as commercial analytics, reporting, incentive compensation, field enablement, CRM, master data management, territory design, patient services, and commercial data strategy.
• Proven experience designing and overseeing reporting frameworks, executive dashboards, KPI measurement, and operational governance processes that enable data-driven decision-making and continuous performance improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to establish scalable operating models, delivery frameworks, quality standards, and best practices that drive operational efficiency, consistency, and long-term program success.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience engaging senior client leadership, including Commercial Operations Leaders, VPs, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business challenges, adapt across functional domains, and deliver effective solutions.
• Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation through the application of emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and industry best practices.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed environment, collaborating across geographies and functions, and managing relationships with US-based clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with commercial operations technologies and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Veeva CRM, Reltio, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, Python, and AI-enabled analytics solutions is preferred.
• Experience supporting or leading initiatives involving specialty pharmacy, hub, patient services, and patient-level data assets is highly desirable.
