Overview
The Manager,Cloud and Data will report to the VP of Engineering and lead the Cloud and Data team. This individual will lead the team to architect, implement, and operate critical scalable data infrastructure for a geographically distributed robot fleet and company.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor team members
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure
- Manage the day-to-day of team members
- Support long term planning, scheduling and budgeting
- Support hiring, mentoring and team growth
- Contribute generally to the growth and success of the Company and the building of a vibrant culture focused on the responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.
- Effectively partner with others in the organization with thoughtfulness and empathy
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical experience in data engineering, including expertise with SQL, Python, distributed processing (e.g., Spark/PySpark), ETL/ELT, and cloud services (AWS/GCP)
- 2+ years of team management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and retaining high-impact, diverse teams
- Experience evaluating and integrating external services and software
- Experience leveraging agentic AI for team and organizational succes
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience with IoT and related technologies
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Streamlit, AWS Batch, and streaming data tools (e.g., Kafka/Flink), modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake/Athena(Trino)), and Kubernetes (k8)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
- Actual compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor
