About This Role:
As the Manager for Clinical Program Sourcing & Contract Management (CPSCM), you will be at the forefront of coordinating and executing study-level contracting processes for complex clinical vendor categories that support global clinical trials from Phase I to IV. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, CPSCM, you will lead contracting efforts for high-value service areas, including CRO services, central laboratories, and clinical technology providers. Your role is integral to ensuring successful vendor relationships, managing the specification intake process, developing and negotiating vendor budgets, and ensuring alignment with study timelines. You will serve as a key procurement partner, collaborating with Clinical Operations, Category Management, Finance, and Legal to achieve compliant, commercially sound, and predictable contracting outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the end-to-end specification collection process with Clinical Trial Leads (CTLs) and Study Management Teams.
- Review and refine study specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and operational alignment.
- Develop detailed vendor budgets in collaboration with preferred vendors.
- Conduct pricing comparisons across approved preferred vendors.
- Ensure scope integrity and eliminate duplication of services.
- Partner with Clinical Operations to incorporate scope changes into budget and contractual updates.
- Negotiate scope, pricing adjustments, and contractual language within MSAs.
- Draft, review, and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, and closeout agreements.
- Drive vendors to meet agreed Vendor Sourcing Timelines (VSTs).
- Ensure contracts meet ICH GCP standards and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain documentation trails and support audit readiness.
- Flag recurring pricing, scope, or performance trends impacting vendor strategy.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Life Sciences, or related field).
- 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or contract management experience in biotech/pharma or similarly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex clinical vendor categories.
- Strong expertise in specification development and vendor budget modeling.
- Proven ability to negotiate within established MSA frameworks.
- Deep understanding of clinical trial contracting workflows.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify pricing discrepancies.
- Highly organized with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree and/or legal/contracting background is a plus.
- Procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM/C.P.M.) desirable.
