About the role:

We are seeking a Manager of Clinical Care who is moved by our vision and mission and can adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving company. You will play an integral role in building the company by leading a clinical team and will report directly to a Senior Manager, Clinical Care. We see our Managers as champions of our mission to provide exceptional care to our clients, continuously improve professional practice, and build a diverse and collaborative clinical community. You will lead a team of up to 16 independently licensed mental health therapists, manage strategic projects, support interviewing clinicians, and maintain a small caseload of ongoing clients.

  • Location: San Francisco (300 Montgomery St., 94104)
  • Hybrid Schedule: Up to 3 days in office

Core Areas of Responsibility 

Team Oversight and Leadership:

  • Manage up to 16 licensed clinicians, consisting of one hybrid and one remote team: team meetings, 1:1 meetings
  • Oversee client care within your clinical team: evaluating clinician performance, clinical consultation, crisis management, ensuring clinic-wide goals
  • Implement and support company roll-outs of clinical processes and procedures while working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across the company
  • Monitor adherence to legal/ethical guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards
  • Build a clinical culture that engages and retains high-quality, high-performing clinicians

Clinical:

  • Manage a panel of ongoing clients. Every clinical leader at Two Chairs spends a portion of their week seeing clients. This ensures that we are deeply connected to the client and Clinician experience
  • Maintain a regular caseload of at least 3 clients (~5 Clinical Hours per week)
  • Assist with in-person matching as needed
  • Thoughtfully integrate technology into your practice and provide data-driven care
  • Actively engage in our community and professional growth through case consultation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the physical clinic space, maintain a safe and orderly workspace, and order clinic supplies as needed
  • Monthly meetings with clinical operations to review any maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations of the clinic
  • Monthly compliance review of clinic
  • Recommends and leads changes to Clinical Team policies through participation in cross-functional projects

Qualifications: 

  • Able to work in a hybrid role at our San Francisco clinic (up to 3 days per week)
  • At least two years with an active license in clinical psychology (PhD or PsyD from an accredited university) or LMFT/LCSW/LPCC/LMHC for California
  • 2 or more years of experience managing a team of licensed clinicians
  • Experience managing a team remotely 
  • Experience in management and leadership, including strong interpersonal communication and conflict management skills
  • Exceptional clinical skills: expertise in managing clinical crises, providing substantive case consultation, navigating ethics issues, and providing great client experiences
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and interest in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments (e.g., PHQ-9) to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
  • Excellent technology skills: online calendar management and software (e.g., Google Drive sheets, docs, slides)

Compensation & Benefits: 

Zone 1 / San Francisco Bay Area | $123,420 - 166,980

  • New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $123,420 - $145,200
