About the Role
Are you a multi-disciplined Organizational Change Management Communication Specialists with a creative flair and an uncanny ability to simplify complex messaging and processes into digestible communications? Join the Magna Finance Continuous Improvement team's mission to digitize and transform the way of work at Magna. This coupled with a passion for project management work will make you the perfect fit. The Senior Communications Specialist, Change Management will play a key role in supporting initiatives that increase employee adoption through the assisting with shaping the strategic plan and support of various change management initiatives. Focusing on the people side of change, the incumbent will provide organizational change management (OCM) services which include supporting strategic planning, execution, and reporting as it relates to new technology, processes, and behaviors.
Regular travel: 10-15% of the time.
Your Responsibilities

  • Understand and articulate requirements to engage a wide range of stakeholders through technology, process, and behavioral changes
  • Participate in the creation of strategies to support the change effort which include recommendations for change related approaches, activities, and deliverables
  • Conduct impact analyses to understand that change journey, identifying potential resistance and mitigation tactics
  • Support the evaluation of method and cadence for assessing and reporting out change readiness at various stages throughout a project
  • Support the development of a communications and content development system that caters to various transformation project work streams
  • Leverages a variety of technology and application tools to develop effective communication approaches and achieve the desired communication reach
  • Develop and create communications strategies, plans and content that is tailored according to each stakeholder group
  • Coordinate and manage the stakeholder lists and understands how to tailor and target messaging by stakeholder group
  • Facilitate and coordinate with the project management teams to identify change impact risks across different milestones and elevate risk assessments
  • Provide input, document requirements, create strategies, and support the design and delivery of training programs
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan, tracking completion of all agreed-upon OCM deliverables and key activities
  • Coordinate efforts with other OCM professionals and support resources
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress


Who we are looking for

  • Diploma or Degree(s) in from an accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or a related field
  • Change management certification or designation desired
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in organizational change management or internal marketing and/or communications

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the commitment process
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and creative tactics
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Automotive and technology business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Proficient in project management tools and technologies including the MS365 suite of products: Powerpoint, Excel, MS Forms, SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
