This role will bridge finance, data analytics, product, technology, ensuring rigorous cost governance, insightful analysis, and alignment of spend with business growth and user experience goals
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Cost Analytics & Optimization:
a. Lead cost analysis for digital infrastructure and platforms (e.g., CDN, cloud services, video encoding, app performance).
b. Monitor and manage costs associated with Product, Tech, and Platform teams—including vendor/platform costs (AWS, Akamai, etc.).
c. Analyze platform-level usage and translate usage metrics into cost drivers to derive actionable insights.
d. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across tools, platforms, and vendors.
2. Business & Financial Performance Tracking:
a. Own financial tracking of technical costs as part of overall unit economics (e.g., cost per DAU/MAU, cost per stream/view, etc.).
b. Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking technical cost KPIs and trends.
c. Collaborate with finance and product teams to manage P&L impact of technical and product decisions.
3. Content Delivery & Consumption Cost Modeling:
a. Analyze streaming cost per user/content across resolutions, formats, and geographies.
b. Assess cost impact of content type, viewership behavior, and delivery strategy (e.g., live vs VOD, edge delivery)
4. Strategic Planning & Business Support:
a. Support in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for product, engineering, and platform teams.
b. Prepare financial models and business cases for new product features, infrastructure investments, or international expansions.
c. Drive cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Tech, Content, and Data teams.
Technical and Analytical Skills
· Strong Excel & Financial Modeling skills (mandatory)
· Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Cloudability) is a plus
Exposure to tools like Databricks, Amplitude, Mixpanel is advantageous
Preferred Education & Experience
CA
3- 5 years’ experience in Finance, FP&A, Business Analytics, or Cost Management role
