Who We Are:

ATTN: is the creative studio and media company that earns attention – and makes it matter. We started as a publisher, building a business around attention that amassed a massive audience, giving us rare insights and valuable distribution. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service content studio that creates original IP and premium social campaigns for the brands, institutions, and leaders who need more than just visibility. Through creative excellence and a deep understanding of culture, we build trust and drive meaningful impact for our partners.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager of Business and Legal Affairs to join our team, supporting end-to-end business and legal affairs workflows across a high volume of concurrent commercial, editorial, and branded social campaigns. This role begins with attorney oversight across all contract and clearance work, with autonomy expanding over specific contract types and decision points as judgment and trust are established.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as first point of triage for incoming business and legal requests, assessing scope, directing to self-service resources, escalation, or general support across production, business and creative departments
  • Draft and negotiate standard production related agreements (e.g., talent, location, rental, appearances releases) and a variety of business partnership and marketing contracts including SOWs, IOs, addendums, NDAs
  • Experience with brand partnership campaigns and ability to advise teams on marketing legal issues (e.g., FTC guidelines)
  • Conduct clearance review of multi-platform content across all production phases — including intellectual property, fair use, public domain, right of publicity, defamation, and union rules — advising creative teams and confirming necessary rights and releases are obtained prior to distribution
  • Serve as a point of contact for talent agencies and casting teams to facilitate high level negotiations and agreement drafting and ability to advise
  • Advise production teams on guild/union restrictions and requirements (e.g., SAG-AFTRA)
  • Coordinate across departments to implement legal policies and procedures
  • Other day-to-day business and legal affairs tasks as requested

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in an entertainment law setting as a Business & Legal Affairs professional
  • Professional experience in media business (e.g., TV, film, digital media) or marketing agencies
  • Familiarity with IAB/DAN standard terms is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and record management skills
  • Flexible team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor considered
  • Comfort using AI-assisted drafting tools and prompting techniques is a plus
