CBC/Radio-Canada Media Solutions is actively seeking a highly driven, strategic, and passionate Sales Manager to join our team. This pivotal role offers a unique and dynamic challenge, initially focused on driving revenue and creative partnerships within a portfolio of core CBC Radio-Canada brand businesses. Following this phase, the focus will shift to the sales efforts for the high-profile Olympic partnerships. As a key driver of new revenue growth, you will lead the charge in business development, while also leading and managing the team responsible for pipeline generation maximizing revenue.. You will own the entire sales cycle - from opening doors and identifying key decision-makers to closing complex, high-impact sponsorship deals. The role is centered on proactive prospecting and mastering the art of the pitch to connect brands with our creative solutions and surpass aggressive revenue milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Strategy & Sales Leadership
This role is instrumental in orchestrating successful revenue growth and prospect development through effective leading and managing of the sales effort. You will balance the strategic growth of a defined client list with proactive business development, focusing on the strategic sales of high-impact marketing solutions and creative sponsorship packages, expertly leveraging CBC & Radio Canada’s media assets (TV, digital, social, audio, experiential) to ensure maximum revenue and target achievement.
Identify, strategically target, and fully maximize all potential revenue opportunities across the base business portfolio, with an emphasis on expanding into new markets.
Create the go-to-market sale plans for all revenue opportunities on your businesses.
Direct account management activities, providing strategic account planning and ensuring consistent application and practice across the sales force.
Proactively identify, cultivate, and secure industry partnerships that maximize advertising and sponsorship revenue potential.
Promote and present CBC/Radio-Canada to develop and maintain relationships with clients and key business partners.
Business Management & Reporting
Set the annual fiscal business plans and lead revenue reporting activities for your businesses.
Prepare bi-weekly revenue forecasts and management reports, providing input for territory and business plans (including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting responsibilities), especially for new ventures.
Review and assimilate various forms of research and market conditions into coherent sales strategies, with a particular focus on identifying and integrating new business opportunities and emerging technologies.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:
Education: University-level degree or equivalent in Media Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience: Five to ten years of progressive experience in Media Sales/ Marketing / Advertising (10 years preferred), with a proven track record in new business development and a strong understanding of emerging digital platforms.
Strategic & Creative Acumen: Strong command of media and marketing sales strategy. Demonstrated experience selling exceptional cross-platform advertising campaigns, branded content, consumer promotions, digital/social marketing campaigns, and/or sponsorships. Creative thinking skills matched with strong business acumen.
Negotiation & Communication: Superior negotiation skills and a solid track record of success in securing new business and platform partnerships. Demonstrated superior communication (verbal and written) skills, including the ability to craft and deliver persuasive presentations .
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and guide people and create a culture of learning that drives individual development, with an emphasis on adapting to new business models and technologies. Experience in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Google products.
Independent Judgment: Ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative, and to effectively solve problems, particularly those related to pioneering new business areas.
Bilingualism (English and French): A strong asset.
Flexibility: Some travel and evening/weekend work may be required for the execution of client partnerships.
