Position Overview:
The Boeing Field Services Team at Hindon is currently looking for Manager, C-17 Backshop, Boeing Field Services who will work to support the IAF maintenance team in undertaking maintenance management of Back Shop Machines at Air Base Hindon. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense India (BDI) business organization and will report to C-17 Base Manager, Boeing Field Services Hindon. Work location for the position mentioned is at Air Force Station, Hindon, Ghaziabad. The selected candidate must be able to think proactively and work collaboratively with every team members. He must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface customers' requirements and demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of written and spoken English, and familiarity with Microsoft office is required. He should be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics. Selected candidate must have Technical-Management capability to lead a strong team of Back-Shop specialists towards accomplishing intermediate level maintenance, advanced system troubleshooting, and breakdown maintenance of all IAF furnished property installed in back shops including the vehicle maintenance back-shops. Be a self-starter who is not afraid to proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work. Be able to demonstrate highly innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate skill in leading Maintenance Management of Back Shop Machines inclusive of CNC Machines, Non-Destructive Inspection Facilities, Composite Repair Facilities, Sheet Metal facilities, etc .
• Demonstrate capability to provide familiarization training to the IAF technicians on above mentioned facilities / machines.
• Demonstrate capability to lead technical specialist to meet contractual obligations of intermediate level maintenance, advance trouble shooting, break down maintenance, aggregate material planning for consumables, etc.
• Will demonstrate capability to co-ordinate with international teams and OEMs for desired serviceability of Back Shop Machines.
• Support C-17 Base Manager on all Back Shop related queries.
Employment will be subject to the candidate's ability to obtain a security clearance from Indian security agencies/ IAF.
The selected candidate may be required to work on the site at Hindan Air Base. There may be occasional need to support IAF C-17 operating from other civil and military bases within India.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum 15 (Fifteen) years of total experience on maintenance management of advanced Back shop facilities / Depot Level facilities equipped with CNC Machines, NDI facilities, Composite Repair facilities, Sheet Metal facilities, etc.
• Demonstrated capabilities to refer to Technical Orders / operators manual to troubleshoot and repair all aircraft systems, especially Electrical, Avionics and Instrument systems.
• Familiar with tools, testers and ground equipment required for fault isolation of faults pertaining to Back Shop and associated documentation systems.
• Demonstrated capabilities for Team building, Basic department administration, conflict management, task allocation and follow up.
• Basic Inventory management, Aggregate material planning, demand management
• Interpersonal skills.
• Conversant with safety, security compliance, cultural requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Engineering Graduate Degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production / Industrial) is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience working on O & I and Depot level maintenance of C-17 aircraft.
• Familiar with Technical Orders of C-17 aircraft, and Tools, Testers and Ground Equipment, required during fault isolation of faults pertaining to Electrical systems, Communication systems, Navigation systems, Auto Flight Systems, Pneumatic system, etc.
• Familiar with Indian Air Force Maintenance organization at O & I level, and aircraft maintenance documentation system.
• Conversant with safety, security compliance, cultural requirements and willingness to work in military environment.

Relocation: This position does offer relocation within INDIA.
