Job Description
DUTIES: First-Level Supervisor of Software Development Engineers responsible for planning, designing, and developing software and web applications, using cloud engineering technologies including AWS and Azure Cloud services; build Generative AI solutions using Langchain Framework, and Opensource Generative models including LLAMA3, and Semantic Kernel; managing software engineering teams; use AI technologies including AWS Bedrock, Azure ML Studio, and Edge Computing; perform software automation using Ansible, Terraform, AWX, and Argo CD; manage financial data using AWS Cost Optimization Tool, Azure Cost Optimizer and FinOps Framework; developing software using Python; manage projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications; collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to conduct testing; develop and administer performance standards for the organizational unit; provide subject matter guidance to employees as required; develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assist in the development and meeting of departmental budget; oversee the planning and designing of software and web applications; provide guidance to the Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements; serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams; direct implementation initiatives for new software products and applications; organize the software update process for existing applications and coordinate the roll-out of software releases; manage all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets; implement performance metrics and prepare periodic reports; monitor and track project progress and report findings to leadership team; ensure all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry; develop proposals, hardware, and software; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software using cloud engineering technologies including AWS and Azure Cloud services; and managing software engineering teams; of which three (3) years include performing software automation using Ansible, Terraform, AWX, and Argo CD; managing financial data using AWS Cost Optimization Tool, Azure Cost Optimizer and FinOps Framework; developing software using Python; of which one (1) year includes building Generative AI solutions using Langchain Framework, and Opensource Generative models including LLAMA3 and Semantic Kernel; and using AI technologies including AWS Bedrock, Azure ML Studio, and Edge Computing
