Who are you?

You’re motivated, adaptable, and ready to invest in your development as a future banking leader. At C&N, we’re seeking a Management Trainee to participate in a hands-on development program focused on building broad knowledge and experience within Branch Delivery.

In this role, you’ll learn the fundamentals of retail banking through practical experience in customer service, branch operations, relationship building, business development, and consumer lending. You’ll work alongside experienced leaders and teammates, take on new challenges, and develop the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for future opportunities within Branch Delivery. You will be responsible for:

  1. Branch Operations: Gain hands-on experience with branch operations, policies, procedures, controls, and the day-to-day activities required to operate an efficient, safe, and customer-focused branch. The original Management Trainee program specifically includes an assigned branch operations rotation.   
  2. Customer Relationships & Service: Develop the skills to understand customer needs, build and deepen relationships, deliver exceptional service, and connect customers with appropriate C&N products and solutions.
  3. Business Development: Learn how C&N attracts new business, strengthens existing relationships, identifies sales and referral opportunities, and builds connections within the communities we serve. These are central responsibilities of the Community Office Manager role this development pathway supports.    
  4. Consumer Lending: Build knowledge of consumer lending, including applications, documentation, credit information, regulatory requirements, sales, and customer follow-up.  
  5. Leadership & Professional Development: Participate in structured training, on-the-job learning, mentoring, and developmental experiences designed to strengthen your banking knowledge, leadership capabilities, and readiness for future opportunities within Branch Delivery.

    Requirements:

    Education & Experience – You will need a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND one 2-4 years of previous related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Travel Requirements – Extensive travel to assigned branch and department locations is required throughout the development program.
