At Endeavors, we believe people are our mission.

Behind every program we operate, every person we serve, and every community we impact is a financial foundation that has to be strong, responsible, and sustainable. That is where you come in.

We are looking for a humble, driven, and relational financial professional to join our Accounting team as a Senior Management Accountant. This is not a role where you simply prepare reports and move on to the next spreadsheet. You will be a trusted financial partner to our CFO, Controller, program leaders, and other members of the organization - helping them understand the story the numbers are telling and make better decisions because of it.

If you enjoy digging into the details, solving complex problems, finding better ways to do things, and partnering with people who are passionate about serving others, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

You don’t have to know everything on day one. But you should bring a strong accounting foundation, curiosity, sound judgment, and a desire to make a difference.

You possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including five (5) years of cost accounting/business analyst experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong experience analyzing budgets, grants, funding requirements, and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, grant requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Working knowledge of 12 CFR 200.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel and Access.
  • Experience with accounting software and knowledge of Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to getting the numbers right.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to explain complex financial information in a way that makes sense to people who don’t live in spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.

Who You Are

At Endeavors, how you do the work matters just as much as what you accomplish.

We are looking for someone who is:

Humble. You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room. You are willing to listen, learn, ask questions, share credit, and help others succeed.

Driven. You see a problem and want to solve it. You look for ways to make processes better, improve accuracy, and help the organization operate more effectively.

Relational. You understand that accounting is ultimately about people. You can build trust, communicate difficult information well, and meet people where they are.

You also bring:

  • Strong emotional intelligence and professional judgment.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach.
  • The ability to remain calm and thoughtful when navigating competing priorities or difficult circumstances.
  • A growth mindset and genuine desire to continuously improve.
  • The ability to influence without authority and build trust across organizational boundaries.
  • A passion for using financial insight to help others make better decisions.
  • A commitment to integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making.

Why Endeavors?

Because the numbers matter - but what the numbers make possible matters even more.

Your work will help provide the financial foundation for programs that keep veterans housed, connect people with disabilities to meaningful employment, and help families through crisis.

When you make sure a grant is managed properly, a cost is allocated correctly, a financial risk is identified early, or a leader has the information they need to make a good decision, you are doing more than accounting.

You are helping Endeavors serve people in need.

We are committed to creating a workplace where humility, accountability, teamwork, service, and servant leadership aren't just words on a wall. They are how we work together every day.

We offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to grow within a mission-driven organization that has served communities across the country for more than five decades.

If you are an experienced accounting professional who wants your expertise to have a purpose beyond the bottom line, we would love to meet you.

Bring your experience. Bring your curiosity. Bring your heart for serving others.

Let’s do meaningful work together.
